Just had a blast flying my UMX Mig-15 ducted fan jet for the first time!

I had only flown very cheap planes before this, but really was only interested in this style plane for now and Iím very happy after the first flight.

Safe allowed me to slowly learn what the High rates and AS3X mode will feel like on first flight.

Highly recommend the plane, itís a joy and a cool piece of history. Just add the park flyer plastics nose and wing tips for added strength, and check all serves before flight and youíll have a great time.

Iím a complete rc plane noob by the way. Awesome.

Just wanted to quickly share with some people my new favorite rc toy!! It is the Walkera Rodeo 150 ! It is a small, lightweight brushless fpv racer. You can purchase it with a 200 mw, (fcc version) with fpv camera all ready to go!

The quad is a complete joy to fly without fpv, and has some serious punch to it!! 3 flight modes, one with stabilization, one with a little stabilization but can roll, and full manual.

The goggles are really comfortable, provide color and clear resolution.

The goggle 4 comes with a nice patch antenna, and then another one that is cheap. I replaced the stock goggle and rodeo antenna with the tbs triumph antennas and it appears to be a rock solid combination.

What an amazing entry to fpv racing !!!

Thanks for reading and I highly recommend this quadcopter and goggles! The only downside is parts have to shipped from you guessed it, China!

I recently was really lucky And was able to purchase a dji 5.8 ghz vtx. Also the rx which is built into a 7 inch monitor from Readymaderc.com. But i bought the product from HGT, he lives in CO and is an expert on dji products and of the r/c hobby. I needed to make my gopro my fpv camera, so I bought a gopro 3 cable Also from Readymaderc.com and my friend mintax, (Dan) soldered the cables for me. We tested the set up and it appears to be rock solid! Thanks to my friends HGT and Mintax of course. I will try my first fpv flight tomorrow and if it is good enough I'll share the footage. Take care and happy flying everyone, if you have any questions please p.m. Me. Pictures will tell more about my craft.

Finally made it to 4s lipos! The stock dji flamewheel can run 3s, or 4s lipos! Now that I have a newly installed "batwing" to keep the legs
Out of the gopro's view, I needed to get more power or juice, wow! When I first
Got my f450 people said go with 4s. It was not a priority but I can say with the legs, go pro, batwing, and larger 4s battery my flamewheel is a new BEAST! I swear I'll have video in the next week or so, I am just taking my time! Also bought a thunder power cp610 charger ac/dc style, it is awesome! Happy I went with thunder power! Storage mode, competition field mode which does fast charges! 90% charges, full charges, and discharge so you can adjust your lipos precisely! I also was having problems with my throttle and a lowering quadcopter while in GPS mode, 4s lipos fixed that problem! I am going to run 9" gemfan carbon fiber props and see how they go, loved the 10 inch so I imagine these will be comparable! Cheers and happy flying!

Here is the quadcopter I have been working on, and flying for a little while now. It is a Dji Flamewheel f450! I bought it RTF from http://witespyquad.gostorego.com/quads.html because I had no knowledge of anything but toy quadcopters. Did not want to spend and mess up something as nice as a flamewheel. My next will definitely be a build! (far from now)

I decided on a flamewheel because it seemed like one of the most well known companies that made a versatile frame and had great features! I also did not want 10-14 different quadcopters in my house, and I figured the flamewheel could keep me occupied for a while.

I changed out the stock receiver which did not have Preset Failsafe on every channel. Put an Orange receiver with a satilite port so I have key safety features! Works really well but I have not played with distance too much yet. I am currently using 3s lipo's, 1 2200 mah zippy pack. 1 4000 mah venom 3s lipo with a crappy charger that somehow gets it done. This is my next move, buying a hyperion or thunder power charger that can charge 4s lipos. 4s is that way to go apparently!

I purchased the quad in mid may and have been flying without the gps option until now. Tomorrow I should be installing the gps and a 3d printed gopro mount, and a 3d printed compass protector! I am really excited for the next couple months becuase I will be buying fatshark goggles and fpv equiptment, maybe dji osd and get to the fpv flying and recording! It has been a slow and...Continue Reading
