I don't think a thread has appeared on this particular truck yet, probably because it's still quite new. I really like the truck for its scale looks...and thought even if it didn't perform that well it would look nice on a shelf somewhere. This is just a small writeup and not a full review of the truck, so if I've missed anything or if you want to find out more about certain components or characteristics of the truck please let me know.
The C14 Hilux is available in tan and red, but in kit form only (from what I could find at least). I bought a tan kit for about 24 dollars (is that crazy or what!?). The only electronic components that come with the kit are a 9g servo, LED lights and a 180 sized brushed-motor. I've purchased a 30A brushed speed controller and a 7.4V 1500mAh 10C pack to power the little beast

PNP price comes to around 34 bucks, definitely one of the cheapest ways to get into R/C.
The build was pretty straight-forward, the manual is completely pictorial, so nothing's really lost in translation... but some details are left out (instructions for how to lubricate the gears and which screws to use in certain locations, for example). I wasn't planning on writing anything about this truck when I got it, so I didn't take any pictures of the build... but it took me about 2.5 hours and I don't think the average hobbyist would find it to be difficult.
