Halloa people

Soooo about a week ago I review GepRC's Dolphin 4" quadro.. First time a flew a sub 250-gram 4" quad..
Not bad at all! But in general custom builds are just that little bit BETTER :P So let's go and build one why don't we

I will mostly be using parts that are also used on the RTF BetaFPV X Knight, with a few differences to make it better and lighter...

Let's first have a look at the frame for it

BetaFPV X-Knight - ULTRA Light 4" Racer - FRAME REVIEW ! (21 min 26 sec)

Parts I'll be using:

the bare Frame: the X Knight 4 or 5 inch frame

the stock X-Knight canopy: the canopy Beta itself uses for this frame

FC / ESC - BetaFPV 20A F4 2-4S AIO: BetaFPV 20A AIO FC & ESC

FPV camera - Runcam nano racer: Runcam nano racer

VTX - Runcam TX 100: Runcam TX100 VTX

Halloa people

Time for a side-by-side comparison this time
on paper the Foxeer Predator 4 & Runcam Racer 3 are very both very similar & capable Racing FPV camera's..
To this I should add that I generally very much prefer the Racer 2 & 3 from Runcam over other camera's.. BUT I am ready to be proven wrong!

got me yet another FPV quad in the other day.. A 4" quad this time.. Did we need that?? 4" quads??
The concept here is these should be the biggest quads we can keep under 250 grams AUW (?) And they should be a bit more efficient then 3" quads....

Halloa

so you might have seen video's from / about the new Runcam 5 Orange pass by.. I thought it would be informative to demonstrate One of it's new features. Not only to show how well the Runcam 5 does in flat colors, but also to show you why you might want to use it..
I have done a demo of the feature before but this time I actually had some sun to make things look a BIT better

Link to the camera: Runcam 5 Orange

at Banggood: Runcam 5 Orange

So.. a short video showing what "flat color profile" is.. and how you CAN use it..
I shot this video in horrible weather, because is especially hard on camera's..

Halloa people

another day.. another build-project!   Last year I bought me GepRC CL7  7" RTF quad, and pretty nice! It is however more a high-speed cruiser then a (relatively) nimble freestyle quad..
I'd like to solve that this year by building a 7" myself    This time it is Not going to be a "how to series" though..

Let's actually start by taking a close look at our frame

Project iFlight MONSTER TITAN DC7 HD DeadCat - Frame Review (15 min 47 sec)

The parts I'll use in this build:

Frame: iFlight DC7 Titan
ESC: iFlight SucceX 60A BLHeli_32
Flight Controller: iFlight SucceX F7 TwinG
Motors: iFlight XING 2806.5 1300 KV
Camera: Runcam Phoenix v2
VTX: iFlight The Force Long Range 1 Watt

Halloa people

usually I review / feature new things on my YT channel, but this time it's different.. I am actually reviewing a SERVICE in this case
As you probably know the Session (cube style) camera's aren't made by GoPro anymore, so are refurbished cam's a good option?

Halloa people,

I am in the midst of publishing a (LONG :P) how-to-build series and one of it's video is partly about the video-transmitter choice.. Maybe this is helpfull to you if you're new to FPV and are unsure what camera would work out for You...
Also in this video however I explain how to install the VTX & configure it in Betaflight

The VTX I'll end up using: Rush Tank Ultimate PLUS - 800mW
