The line drawings have been digitized and reviewed. I entered the drawings into Auto-Cad where I calculated the CLP (center of lateral Plane) in order to
design a balanced set of sails using the relationship between the CE (center of effort)of the sails. According to some design theories, there the CE should be forward of the CLP by approx. 15% of the DWL (designed water line. It will be interesting to see if I notice any positive effects. I have 3 other J's to compare performance to but seeing that they are all shorter, it will be an educational exercise at best, at least for now.
When Rick Shousha finishes the bulkheads, I'll start my build blog.Just what I need.....a 4th J. Anyone want a good deal on a Rainbow or Endeavour?

Not sure if any of you know but in the 3D space, there are literally trillions of settings so comes a time when you have to say................... that's it.

Must admit i'm pretty happy with this and it only took 56 minutes to render 1 frame. So I estimate that the video at 25 frames per second i'm looking at around a day of rendering for 1 second of video. 60 days per minute and my songs are around 3.30 minutes so ............... 210 days for a 3.30 minute video. Best i invest in electricity stocks

Pilot Gwen does look pretty good though. will also be adding my Pipistrel Panthera Plane i built for the Phoenix Simulator as well so that will blow the 210 days out no doubt lol.

Please if anyone can give me some hints with some quicker rendering with Daz Studio and iRay, please let me know if i can knock a couple of days of this adventure

UAV tilt photography technology can truly reflect the situation of the ground, and through advanced positioning technology, it can embed accurate geographic information and pick up richer image information. The birth of oblique photography technology may subvert the traditional surveying and mapping operation method.

For many years, the topographical mapping and geographic information acquisition work have mainly adopted manual operation mode, measuring and mapping people's footsteps, traversing mountains and rivers, year-round field trips, and hard work. Such field labor has problems such as high intensity, complicated procedures, time-consuming and high cost. With the development of science and technology, the surveying and mapping industry has become increasingly demanding for the accuracy and timeliness of geographic information data. Labor and time costs have also brought tremendous pressure and burden on the industry. Therefore, the surveying and mapping industry need to be able to quickly and efficiently, Accurate solutions for obtaining geographic information and data.

The birth of UAV tilt photography technology has overturned the traditional surveying and mapping operation method. This technology acquires high-definition stereoscopic image data through low-altitude multi-lens photography of drones, automatically generates three-dimensional geographic information models, and quickly realizes the acquisition of geographic information. Features such as high...Continue Reading

Getting there on a more realistic lighting. Her skin is looking more real. 80% rendering time in 13 minutes for 1 frame.

"Are we there yet?" .......... not quite! I want the skin on the face to look as real as the right hand.

In my opinion this is what all pilots should wear.

Female pilots, I don't look good in red I would certainly fly business class a lot more

I notice that people are looking but no one's commenting. Great to get some feedback.

I've spent the last couple of weeks reviewing the new ISDT 608AC charger. It has a modular removable AC-DC power supply and the high quality build and interface that we've come to expect from ISDT across their full line. At $50-60 it is easliy the best value charger out and will suit practically every application out except for the very high currents (8A+) and multiple channels.

Anyway, my full review is here including heaps of pics of the operating screens which I find easier to lear by than the included manual:

Geelang Anger 75x - 4S Tiny whoop! (20 min 34 sec)

ANGER 75X whoop 3-4S
Size:106mm * 98mm * 53mm
Weight:46g (without battery)
Weight:76g(with Original 4s 260mah Lipo battery)
Motor:GL1202 KV6900
Flight controller:SI-F4FC Three-in-one tower Version: MATEKF411
Power supply: 2-4S battery input (DC 7-17V)
Built-in 12A(each) Blheli_S 4in1 ESC Dshot600 ready
Built-in Betaflight OSD(SPI Control)

The props are 1636 Gemfan and the frame doesn't permit the use of 2 inch prop.

Anyway with 4S lipo it's a very fast Whoop and you can fly like a bigger models without limitations we are used to have on tiny Whoop. All acro maneuvers are possible with its motors.

Flight time (I set 3.5v as limit) is more or less 4 minutes.

With 3s you have less power, obviously, but you can benefit from its tiny size to have fun in very small space!

In the video you'll see some propwash in fast descent but I augmented a little the I value and the result is very good.

I will post some tuning video if it will be interesting for you.

Almost ready to start a full test render. Probably take around a day.

Messing with lighting and such. New hair that i want to move with the dance as well. Fingers crossed.

Will add something to make it to do with RC

Note: her top only came in a small size so the camera is up a bit

When it comes to drones, many people think of props for aerial photography and occasions, but for military fans, drones are the predators that eliminate the "Islamic" high-ranking leader in Afghanistan. Back to the "Global Hawk" of important military intelligence. If the former can still be close to public life, then the latter is completely unconvinced. In fact, people's lives can find those seemingly ordinary drones, but they are called industrial drones. Today, I will come and talk with you about what an industrial drone is.

1.The difference between consumer drones and industrial drones

As the name suggests, consumer drones are machines for consumption and entertainment. Just like the daily contacts of the beginning friends, most of the tasks completed by consumer drones are taking pictures, whether aerial or ultra-low altitude selfies, mainly For entertainment purposes.

The demand for industrial-grade drones is directly derived from specific industries, and the operating environment is special. It requires more precise positioning of functions, high environmental adaptability and high reliability. It can realize industrial three-proof (fireproof, rainproof, dustproof), and work normally in a variety of complex environments such as rainy and snowy days, high and cold areas, high temperature fire fields, and electromagnetic interference. Industrial-grade UAVs have higher requirements in terms of battery life, load capacity, safety and...Continue Reading

I. Overview of drone aerial photogrammetry

Compared with traditional photogrammetry, low-altitude digital aerial photogrammetry is fast and easy to operate. Under-cloud photography can obtain high-resolution aerial images, with short image production cycles, high efficiency, and low cost. Urban surveying and mapping, major engineering project mapping, and small-scale high-precision mapping are widely used.

However, the sensors used in fixed-wing UAV ship-to-air photogrammetry systems are cameras modified by industrial-grade CCDs. This kind of camera is a non-measurement camera. Compared with the traditional surveying and mapping aerial photographing device, there is an error caused by the non-orthogonality of the optical distortion of the CCD array. In addition, because the CCD array is non-square, the placement of its camera also affects the baseline length of actual aerial photography. Coupled with the subsequent image control point joint measurement and stereo measurement errors, the main factors of the quality of the final product of the imaging drone aerial photography measurement are formed.

Second, the major factors affecting the accuracy of drone aerial survey

There are measurement errors in fixed-wing UAV aerial survey systems when performing terrain surveys. These errors mainly come from errors caused by external factors such as instrument errors, human errors, and climate.

a, instrument error

Due to imperfect design and manufacture of the...Continue Reading

This is my maiden flight in rain with the E-flite F-15 Eagle 64mm EDF Jet.

E-flite F-15 Eagle 64mm EDF Jet With AS3X & SAFE Select Maiden Flight (3 min 24 sec)

This are my maiden flight settings for this plane:

- Ailerons: Rates: 70% & Expo 30%
- Elevator: Rates: 100% Expo 30%
- Nose Wheel: Rates: 100% Expo 40%

Review Notes for this Beginner EDF Jet:

- The paint scheme is nice and colorful making it somewhat easy to see in the dark sky, but not as good as a red.
- It comes BNF Basic with very little setup required
- It is a RC Smart Jet thanks to optional SAFE Select
- Flies great on popular 4S 1800s. Some say it will fly on smaller & larger packs work just fine too.

- You have to glue it
- Poor turning radius as seen when I hit the nose on the curb
- No rudders

Ok - here we are again and now the snow is gone,a light mist with temps in the mid 30's
The forecast originally predicted 11 to 12 mph from the west,I was pleasantly surprised to find it had turned NW
I had not tried flying our hill with the speeds so low but I am aiming at flying once a week if anything close to flyable presents itself

I have a Alcyone - a 3m thermal ship from the 90's that I had not maidened yet so I brought it out
Actual measured wind at the top was between 8 and 15
Launch was a non event , it flew great and tooled around at a pretty good clip for around 15 to 20 minute by which time my right hand was getting really cold ,burning ,I only had put on a light cloth glove so I didn't have a problem launching, once they got damp they were cold.
This has Huge flaps so I cranked them down and fed in down elevator {I did not have any mix programmed yet, This full house stuff is new to me }
Of course the wind/lift picked up didn't want to come down , made 3 or 4 full circuits of the hill with full flaps ,when I flattened it out it went up ,if i pushed more down it picked up speed - it would have been more fun if my hand didn't hurt so bad
The next pass I cam in low on the hill and did a mini pop up to kill the speed and let it back up the hill and then a slight push to settle her in.
I guess I will see if mixing in some spoiler {up Aileron }will add enough drag to kill the forward momentum better.

Maybe I will get some sunshine on my next outing
