Here's a flight video from the Watervliet Dome. I passed the transmitter around so people could give it a try.

John Glezellis and I have been working on a new design this winter and we are finally ready to show it to the world. I am hoping to have it available at Toledo and Dayton next month.

from John Glezellis:
This was a fun project to work on, always liked the Wigens since seeing the one that Peter Wessels flew in the 1988 Tournament of Champions. As Jim mentioned, this particular one uses the stock servo and motor option that he provides. The goal of this project was to have a high-performance model that utilizes simple build practices for folks of all skill levels. Being constructed out of 9mm foam and minimal carbon, it goes together quickly and is an enjoyable build. This was the #2 prototype that I had hand-painted using Model Masters spray just to get some color on the model for the video in a short period of time, it came in at 206 grams without a battery. The video was shot using 2 and 3-cell 450mAh packs. Super precise with a 2S pack, so great for indoor flying and a mix of precision and 3D, but really comes alive on 3S.

This is our interpretation of TallguysRC Superslo28 kit which is now available in painted and unpainted kits. It has the light wing loading and great handling characteristics and yet the EPP foam gives it some resilience to the bumps and less than perfect landings seen when learning new maneuvers. The wide wing chord and fuselage height makes it exceptional for learning knife edge flight while being fully capable of 3D maneuvers. It can be flown indoors or outdoors and can be toned down to be grown with and into. This is not a self-righting trainer airplane but it is a great option for learning more advanced tricks and a fun companion indoors over the winter that will move outdoors with you in spring.

Alan came out from Dayton OH for a quick visit and stopped by the Watervliet Wind Warriors Christmas Party and had a transmitter shoved in his hands. I don't think he minded

We are now shipping our unpainted kits for the TallguysRC Superslo28 plane. I am in the process of cutting paint masks and painted kits should be available after New Years. My ordering info of them is at https://www.racores.com/Superslo28-EPP.html and the video playlist for them flying is on YouTube.

I will have a booth at the 2022 NEAT Fair September 15th-18th in Downsville NY. Because of packing and traveling to the show any orders received after Friday 9/9 will be processed when I get back on Monday 9/19. Come see us at the show. One advantage is I have many ready to fly planes that you can pop a battery on and fly right there. As long time attendees realize, there is no cellphone/internet service in the valley to run credit cards/PayPal so cash is king. Hope to see you there.

Check us out in the NEAT Fair Forum

Back almost 30 years ago in the hay day of Gremlin combat we had hats made and in going through some old albums to find a specific picture I found the Gremlin logo and figured I'd add it to the products available

If it's not a Gremlin, it just doesn't "Cut it"!!!

Just got these two from SpreadShop. A double walled stainless steel drink bottle and a stainless steel thermal coffee cup. I’ll use the bottle in the van and booth while traveling and my wife will get the coffee cup. Both are about 16oz. 2oz Foam-Tac for comparison (didn’t have a banana). So far I’ve been very happy with the merch quality from the store.

Check out my store.

People have seen the shirts I wear at events and asked me how they can get one. I have created a shop with the shirts available that people can order them and have them shipped direct. There are mugs and cups and other things also available. The Standard Shirts are double sided and orange with Royal Blue logos. There are also other shirts available in various colors with either the front RA Cores or the "Selling Fun Since 1992" on the back. Short or long sleeves and sizes to 4XL

The instructions are up on the website if you get curious. KF4 airfoil

We are making available for immediate ordering our larger (30" wingspan) interpretation of the Leadfeather 3D Delta including a KF4 airfoil (theory) which not only gives the plane great flight characteristics, it also strengthens the wing significantly. We have increased the fuselage thickness to 15mm EPP to strength it. The KF4 airfoil (image) complicates the wing building over and above a typical flat foamie. (but the end results are well worth it)

Also, you should be aware that the build uses more than 2oz of Foam-Tac to complete.

Check out the associated flight videos on our 3D Delta XL playlist as well as the full instructions online

The popularity of the 32" Leadfeather Yak55 is undeniable. The one comment I have regularly heard over the years is, "I wish you sold a bigger version". Well, we listened and have created a 40" 125% version of the plane that satisfies those desires. In doing so we went with a KF4 airfoil (theory) which not only gives the plane great flight characteristics, it also strengthens the wing significantly. We have increased the fuselage thickness to 15mm EPP to strength it and even the tail stiffeners have been increased to 6mm EPP giving the tail great structural support. Be aware, these features have complicated the build (This is not a novice build) and we strongly recommend reading the instructions and following the steps as they are laid out. The sequencing allows previous steps to dry while performing other steps. The KF4 airfoil (image) complicates the wing building over and above a typical flat foamie. (but the end results are well worth it)
Also, you should be aware that the build uses most of 4oz of Foam-Tac to complete.

Introduced at Toledo this year, our 32" EPP Extra is now shipping

This is the next step in your aerobatic training. Working with Alan Mostek we created the follow on to our popular EPP Yak55 that will help you take your flying skills to the next level. Make no mistake that this plane will dial down so it can be flown sedately but it can be grown into and you can dial it up to 11 when you are ready. It is a bit more aggressive and agile than our Yak55 but sometimes that is what you need for the more hardcore maneuvers. Check out the 6 minute video of Alan flying it on our website

Here is the page for the RA Cores 32" EPP Extra

We will be on vendor row at Joe Nall and have a bunch of bind-n-fly Extras and Yak55s with us. Email us to reserve yours as we were sold out by wednesday last year

There will be a new foamie released by RA Cores at the Toledo show this year. It's our interpretation of an Extra which we had FastAlJr Mostek help tune for us. It's not on the website yet (release is April 6th at the Toledo Show) but here is a YouTube video of it flying 3/18/2018 in the Dome at Watervliet NY. Pricing will be the same as our Yak55 kit and it uses the same completer. Reports are it is more agile than the Yak55 so it's a good next step in your aerobatic development. Color combinations available will be Green/Purple as in the video, Orange/Medium Blue and Red/(White)/Dark Blue

Tim has done a nice review of our BluFO-XL kit and completer for RCGroups. Tim got a sneak peak of it at Joe Nall this year when we introduced it and got a chance to have the full experience of the build. Watch the thread for more as Tim has night flying lighting ideas as well as FPV plans over the next few months.
