After a harsh winter, a new set of videos completed, 12 builds of the CAD System beta tested, i have finally gotten to unwrap a couple of bird parts. The 3 pc wing is a return to fun, with a twin prop setup,and of course, There's the Davinci,Sir Regis, Dream Machine, another " War Horse"a couple of HLG's are in the mix, too!

So after a long haul with where to 'hang my hat', we found, mostly circumstantially, Buffalo, MN. An extremely kool town, and the best living conditions we've had in many, many years. After a tour in the desert, ( yep, even in the winter there is desert), the wife is overwhelmed @ how peaceful all life style is, and how close the important parts of town are for her ( an electric "go cart" and I'm getting a bang out of the location- lots of youngsters which Lady has introduced me to, of which have no allergies to the studies of Scientifics of Fluid Dynamicals! The most friendly people I have met anywhere! Lots of smiles in this towne! So this morning wife wakes me up with infos of our Vet being able to see Lady "right away"- 20 minutes from zero point awakening
Now when we do get her there, she crawled out of the car, minimally using the right foot, and manages to pee, and commences a line for the 2nd time to the front door- amazing how animals know whhen they are gonna get great help!
It was gonna get crowded, so I go outside for a smoke, and when I got back in,
Tanya and Heather and a wad of Lady fur were added to the room. Mark- the main Vet, took a look at her walking abilities, and then X Rays were next- just some aeration from gassing at the wound. So bottom line is the Lyme's med is stopped, wound meds activated, along with application instructions, and now for some slightly interrupted life. Lady seems to be doing OK with the 'hat' and I now get some time to put true life back in order!
Julie did real well in choosing Maryland Ave Pet Hospital, Lady has really bonded quickly to all the staff there!- and interesting traffic to watch out the window, and daddy has plenty bucks to pay an extremely surprising reduced( from previous episodes) bill!

So in Between normal work/ and Crimson life, Lady had a go nowhere Sunday, didn't even wanna pee!
We take her to a new vet, the folks at Maryland Pet Hospital got quick test answers,as Lyme's Disease was the culprit- a tick was found 4 weekends ago from the folks who ferminated her for summer and fast acting antibiotics, as when I got home from a short Monday, she was interested in taking daddy for his walk. A slow, 2 hour walk, but she also showed interest in the ball player's hotdogs this is a good thing! and upon returning home, she scarfed on Saturday's T bone.
Tuesday, she back to talking, picking on 'lil'Bit, and walked dad @ full trot. I finish out a stressing week, and looked forward to 'the routine, plus linking the controls for the Crimson.
Friday evening arrives, and we're returning from the 2nd walk- about 2200, when we see a couple puppies @ the apartment 'puppy park' . We were told by a woman that the puppies didn't like other dogs, we were about 25 feet away from the gate when this brindle pit bull literally crashed through the gate to chew on Lady.
First bite was the head, 2nd series was her right leg, and me, trying to pry these 2 apart. Needless to say, most of the neighborhood got involved, and the Police did an excellent job of getting all the data. after a Pepsi and nreve collection, I head on in to Regions' Hospital for a rabies shot.( according to the 'husband':mad

here's a quicky- the Sir regis- Sig Riser of 100" is being planned for 'normal' configuration. yes, I plan for flaps, not so much as normal flaps, but to reflex the wing to get some scoot on!

The Miss Stick As i have set up @ 19 oz, a 2 cell (don't know if that means 2s or not) 1500 Kokam battery and a BP 2208 /17 motor and a 9-6 graupner folder. This is the appropriate set up for a Norwejian who hasn't used wheels in 30-() - yrs!

The wife and I had the Family over for dinner today, which was a perfect setup for the True Maiden flight. I have rebuilt the Canard bell crank, using a slotted drive, and fixed point of rotation instead of the previous idler arm for the 2 radi- (bell crank and Canard actuation).

Well, finally, I got the finals-just need to move the adjustable towhook,and bump in a few turns of "down" into the linkage. Even though I was hoping to get to compete with her (today) it just wasn't worth the pressure, after all, this bird was and IS Sarah!
I took her to a flying spot with a 15 foot elevation, and gave her a toss.I eased in a couple of light turns- about 30 degrees worth, and got a feel for the canard trim.
I dialed 30 % down, and I still needed to hold a bit of down on the stick, but the glide slope was very impressive!
I watched the shadow meet the fuselage , and that transition took about 120 feet!

now we are out of the house, on 3rd floor of a spacious living room, and working on both a canard rework and settling into the changes of spacial compressions.
I am sharing the sewing, computer, and Balsa works in one room, have changed out 3 boxes of stuff so far!.
I've gone from 6 horizontal surfaces to one!

Just a bit more progress with camera hounds helping!

I had to Put Sir Regis on hold a bit, as the weather is breaking to warm stuff here minnesnooter!
