While I have been busy gathering all the items to build my Mendel90 3D printer, RC fell out of the way a little bit. As things broke, they were not being repaired. I stopped reading my threads on this board while trying to absorb as much knowledge as I could on 3D printers. The constant wind outside did not help either. I was pretty much just stopping at the LHS to say hi when suddenly after months of begging them to let me redo their web site, they said yes! I have been working hard on it for the past 2 months.They like the new design and how I keep it constantly updated. In return, my fleet, both ground and air, is repaired and I have a DX8 now! Well, I did the repairs, but they gave me the parts as well as that new Mustang P-51D UM that just came out.

This past weekend I had a few young relatives from out of state staying at my house to spend time with my kids, so I took my old DX6i and made it a slave to the DX8. I was amazed at the confidence the kids had when they knew that I could take control. They were buzzing around with the mQX and Mini Vapor like pros. I was surprised that the Mini Vapor could handle any wind at all. I tried my best to change my sons mind about it, but he was persistent. Now I actually like it and want a Night Vapor.

While flying the kids would say my name if they felt uncomfortable. I would take over, bring them back to the flight line quick, stabilize it, quickly count down from 3 and hit the button again to give them control back. What a...Continue Reading
