About 30 feet up, give or take. Only have a 17 foot ladder so I climbed as high as I dared and made the first cut. -

First cut about 20 feet up and the branch was starting to wiggle as if it wanted to topple. After five minutes I went back up and continued cutting. The branch rolled funny and pined the saw. -

A second saw was pressed into action and cut the second branch on another tree that was holding up the works. It split in the classic barber chair fashion and the whole works fell pretty slow. No extra damage to the plane -

Wing retainer, and tail feathers took almost all the damage. One gouge on the leading edge of the left wing panel. -
