did my first ifr cross country yesterday. we flew from grand forks, ND to duluth, MN. it was bright and sunny in grand forks and overcast 700 in duluth. this allowed me to get some actual IMC time. got to shoot the ILS into duluth and broke of the clouds 400 feet AGL. this is 200 feet above minimums so it was pretty intense for my first time in actual. im definitely hooked on flying in the clouds!

my first student from start to finish has soloed!! he did it in only two days of buddy boxing with only 8 flights total. granted he had quite a bit of simulator time. i taught him and soloed him on a hangar-9 superstick .40. he had no problem landing on the second flight and i never had to take it over once!
he is hooked for good and bought ultra stick .40. now if all of my future students would be this easy!!

he now has an ultra stick .40. its ready to go but waiting for some decent weather to go fly it!

ultra stick has maidened and flys awesome. full flaps make it almost come to a standstill. my student is now flying solo all of the time and is getting very good. luckily he lets me fly the plane every once in a while as we are at school so i dont have any of my planes here.
