After some repairs it was time test the new Blue nose again.
My wife shows she isn't just a pretty face by shooting some pretty good pics with her Canon SLR.

Could not have asked for a fairer outcome. Is a pity that it took so much to get them to (eventually) do the right thing? BUT I finally get a resolution that is fair. AND HK definitely keeps me as a customer

It shipped with 2 left side floats. Numerous emails over several months and I was no closer to completing the build. Response emails basically consisted of "sorry but you will have to wait until part comes from original vendor." I had suggested that a refund, or a replacement would be more valid solutions to this issue but was basically fobbed off.

Yesterday, finally gave up on the emails after waiting for a resolution for six months. Thought I would give the "live online help" a go......

Down to the salt lake after work. Just enough time for 2 batteries on my durafly T28.
Coming back up the trail, here is the view.
I call that a pretty good finish to the day!

What a great plane this is!
Have 2 of the durafly range now. The other being the se5a.
I have to state for the record: out of the 11 models I own, this one is by far, the most fun! You can fly it all "warbird scale" or you can go absolutely balistic with spinning climbs, inverted flight, tail stalls, slow flying - High speed/low altitude WOT passes are the coolest! I get the feeling its acrobatic credentials go way past my capabilities....
And yet it is also an excellent intermediate low wing trainer! Almost a jack of all trades (without going full on 3d).
Looking for a 2nd or 3rd plane that you can grow into without getting bored? Pretty hard to beat this choice!

Thanks to some rather clever types on this forum I am now having a much better time with my Art-tech Mustang. Search for a question in the beginners section titled somewhat cryptically "reverse differential?" for a more detailed look.
The discussion goes from the above title, to flaring, flaps and flaperons to realism in flight sims and undocumented features on the Spectrum DX6i. I learnt a lot from the various contributors.
The upshot from this was much better landings of my Mustang and a better understanding of how the DX6i works (the manual doesn't tell you everything!)

p.s. 6 landings today. 5 were on the back wheel, not the nose!!
