I visited Jämi Scale Open 2015 event on Saturday. It's the main scale event here in Finland. All RC flying events and competitions in Finland during this year have been plagued by lack of participants. Some competitions have even been cancelled. Jämi Scale Open was a great event, but still the attendance could have been better. The weather has been really lousy all summer so that might be culprit why it's so hard to get people participate events. Who knows...

Eight teaser images attached, full gallery available here. Also turbine jet video available at Youtube.

It's a small and low wooden bridge leading to local flying field over a creek. And we just had to test this.

Should be best part of the flying season, but weather has been mainly lousy (= totally too windy). We really have to take advantage of all possible flying slots to get some flight time.

I also finished my scratchbuild Ki-61 Tony. It turned out somewhat better than I dared to hope for. If interested, read my build log.

Then I ripped my HK Slick 360's motor mount in knife edge spin. I've been flying this plane hard, but still this was quite a surprise to me. Dead stick landing was perfect, but I've got plenty of repairing and it will take a while. More details at Slick 360 thread.

I ordered HK X120 charger a while ago as a secondary charger. It seems to work ok, even though it's clear that it doesn't offer same quality / reliability as my primary iCharger 106B.

I plan to use it as field / travel charger and to suit these purposes I installed it in a carry case. The charger & accessories are fitted with velcro so they'll stay properly in their places. The kit is also designed to allow use of different power supplies. It has a low power normal AC power supply, cigarette lighter plug for car usage and also adapter for using my biggest batteries (4000mAh 5S) as power supply.

The case is also small enough to keep easily in the car in some smaller storage compartment.

Simple, yet functional.
