I have put a video together on 3 ways to install 3rd party apps on the DJI Crystalsky device since the removal of the restriction in firmware V02.04.02.00

Its worth noting that DJI have only just lifted the restriction and as it stands today you can not install paid app as the device does not support the Play store and has certain key Google frameworks missing, Litchi, DroneDepoy and others that use google maps will not work, DJI have hinted that a better solution is coming in the future and that this is early days.

Anyway enjoy or not

The guys over at MARS Parachutes have released an new system for DJI Inspire 2 users designed to work along side their new Nova radio system, this is a small standalone deployment controller specifically designed for RTF or other users rather than caring a whole second large radio.

They are running a Kickstarter campaign to get these two products and for a limited time only you can get the Inspire 2 system and Nova for $426, there are very limited placed left so get onboard now, more info further down .

The Inspire 2 System

We are putting more and more money into the air than ever before as both professionals and hobby users, while failure is rare having a backup plan to prevent a total loss of craft as well as protect people and property is a very wise move, crap can go wrong and this will massively increase the chances of retrieving the craft in with little damage.

This system is designed for the inspire 2, it features

Since the Cendeicne is now landing in peoples hands I did a video on the currently included directional patch antenna and its fitment

More info on the Cendence can be found in my review here

And Video review here

The Cendence Patch Antenna

DJI Cendence Patch Antenna Review For Inspire 2 & Free QR Bracket Design (11 min 27 sec)

The antenna is directional and I actually prefer it to the sticks with the Cencende fitted, while its obviously going to be more directional than the omni its not crazy at short range and you can be off, as for its performance it works well but I have no intention of sending out a 4K craft to test this my self, although lets just say I have pushed is as far as I am comfortable and then some and I was happy with performance.

As the antenna is screw fit I have created a quick release bracket that allows you to quickly swap it to the omni sticks.

Some more pics are at the bottom of this post.

The DJI Cendence Controller for the Inspire 2 and M200 is available to order from DJI now and is finally shipping too,
