I believe this was bought thru RnR but I bought it later.
Got this early 2014 as an out of production sailplane which I was going to use as an high wind plane in F3J/ F3B flying but moved to ND were no one else flys sailplanes so it's been in a sport tube since. It's trimmed and balanced and flown very few times to trim. Flys great.
Has a Airtronics 10FSS3 receiver, ailerons have are Airtronics 94809's, flaps Airtronics 94763.
132" all carbon wing- Evolution sailplane. MH32 wing
Nearly new but has 1 minor defect, the paint on one wing was shot light so carbon can be seen on the top of wing. Could be repainted but that's not my talent.

Just to bring everyone up to date on the cancer. Im almost 2 years out from surgery to remove the throat cancer and the radiation and chemo treatments that came along with it. All treatments are over and i have regained all the weight I lost and am eating a near normal diet. Hoping for a cure which comes at 5 years but moving forward.

My advice to avoid this mess, STOP SMOKING. It was my fault and I own responsibility for it .

Most know that iv been dx'd with throat cancer and had surgery march 12 that removed my epiglottois. Even with this radiation and chemotherapy therapy are needed to wipe it out;the first round of chemotherapy took me out for a couple week with nausea and defneass so the 2nd round will be alitlle less problematic.
Thanks for all your well wishes and keep me in your praryes that I have q full recovery.

Thanks

Recovered well from March 12 surgery and got out a week later with a gastric feeding tube till the throat heals more and I relearn to swollow. Never know how important something is till its gone and my epiglotis is gone. Most all the margins were good but the nerve cluster closest to the base of my tounge showed precancerious cells so its onto radiation and chemotheripy/
The radiantion fun starts thrus April 1 and the deadly juicing starts monday April 5th. The cure can be hell but who knows how it will effect me till I get going.
I will be out of action till the end of june it looks but wishing you the safest for flying fun this summer.

Peace
Rich

As ussual the Muscatine Miniture Aircraft Ass. held is New Years Day Mulvilhump rubber band airplane contest.
The early pratice flights were as fatal as they often are when the wind is blowing 10-20mph and the plans are 2 oz or less.

Its been a tough year health wise so thinking of thinning out the fleet and have taken up helicoptors in a bigger way as I can handle these with less physical needs.

Going to let go the CR Raptor 2 meter next week and see what kinda price it can bring along with a 2 meter laser I think.

Life is short, fly all you can.
Rich

Club had their spring sailplane contest this weekend-5-16--5-17.Lots of wind saturday for the 2 meter-RES contest with wind over 25 but no major accidents. Lots of good pilots with Mike Fox, Terry Edmonds attending, Terry flew the new Sprit which looked really good. I didn't get the results for sat as I chased down the chute with the ATV for everyone and didn't fly but watched some great flying by all.
Sunday unlimited and RES was another great day with no winds and cool temps. Tons of Zeniths, Pike Perfets, AVA's flying all over but the local flyers did real well with Wyan Mesner winning unlimited the 2nd weekend in a row and John Lindsey wining RES, scores when avalible. I flew and claimed the tail of the list as it was my first flights of the year as health problems have kept me inside, but injoyed the weekend very much.

Bought this off ebay early last year, a finished ket with all hardware removed and some minor blems. Its a rebuild of Brian Agnew's 2 meter sloper.Obechee over foam wings and ele, framed wood rudder. Strange finish on the wings, not sure if its paint and urethane on top or what but its peels off. Refinish job for next winter maybe.
No flights yet as my health has kept me indoors for a couple months. Nerve damage to legs.

Airfoil is anE387 on the wings
Stab is SD8020
Installed wing harness
Weight says finished weight is 42oz-I lightened this up to 36oz.

Here are a couple of my winter projects that are at different stages along with my continueing effort with the cnc router.

Have had a GP T-craft 25-32 on the bench for a couple years and have just about got it ready for covering.

Been learning to fly a heli with a Robbins 25 electric heli the last couple winters and santa brought a new Esky HoneyBee King 2 for me to crash this winter, its just alittle to large to fly in my crowded basement so its on a shelf till spring.

BIL's been working with router and a program that cuts faces out from a BMP picture. While cutting it seemed to loss its settings for 0 and by the end it was 1/2" out alignment. After some fiddling and checking he figured out that the picture program was asking it to cut it at a high resolution that the machine isn't capable of which is .05. After reseting everything and getting the resolution down to .05 seemed to work fine.

3-15-08 Installed limit switchs and BIL is making up a hold down system that should cover the whole area and any size materal.

04-15-08 Recieved lumber for a shed to house the router and started layout but with a small yard and the set backs requied by code biggest it can be is 14'X12'.
Will be a slow build as Im disabled and need alot of help getting it built but with the help of family and friends should be in it by winter 08.
Thanks All

Thought I would give a more detailed account of how they get you on the boat in a orderly and fast manner.
We departed from the port of Miami and was bused from the hotel to the port. Upon arrivel at the port, porters take your luggauge and get it to the right ship, make sure you use the ships baggage lables properly so you get your luggage promply, generlly the suite cases show up to your room by 10PM the day you board. Getting on the ship is just like flying, they run everything and you thru a Xray machine to look for the normal contraban, don't even attempt to bring on booze, it will be confiscated and kept untill the last night before arrive back at home port. You can get a few-1 6 pack of soda/pop on with you but even that is iffy. They check all passports and ID's rather quickly and get your picture taken for your onboard ID card which you will use for everything on the ship. Anything not included in your cruise price like drinks, water and meals get charged to your room as an onboard charge which can run up rather quickly if you arn't paying attention. A family from Norway which we met on the flight home ran up a $5000 charge for their 5 day cruise.Needless to say Dad was alittle upset.
Getting off the ship is a orderly manner also so listen to the annoucements and follow directions, don't get into big a hurry and its a pleasent experance.

One thing we did learn was that when asked if you wanted Avian water with your dinner or any other time, that bottle will...Continue Reading

Here's my cnc router project, most the work was done by my RCI maintinace brother in law.
We used the hobbyCNC 3 AXI driver boards-heres the build thread that I followed.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ght=cnc+router

The hardest problem with the hobby board is getting good solder points, we had to go over the board twice to resolder bad connections but we had it up in running in good time.

Just starting the run of the machine so a ton to learn, workng with DeskNC for the g-code and autocad or Ecad, both very complex programs so a huge learning curve.
