This is my Me 163 Design made out of depron, and styrodur.
This was my First atempt to cut the Wings in the surasto cnc wingcutter Maschine.
Using styrodur seems to be the better approach. Beside designing the Wings I desingned the fuselage

Hi there,

The last few weeks I'm trying to get more into the theme of how the modell-servos we are using actually work.
I found out that the so called PWM (Pulse-width modulation) determines the
orientation of the servo arm. While the whole length of the period in the signal is about 20ms (50Hz),
only 1ms Duty-cycle respectively 2ms defines if the servoarm is at the left or right end.
So I wonder why the servos work like this.

I think its comparable with driving a car with a 2inch steerwheel,
and having the whole turning of the wheels by steering only a few degrees.

Has anyone here got an idea why servos work like this? What is the advantage.
Or are there any other aproaches of how to control a Modelservo?

greetings from Germany
