Needed the cars a solid color to pick them up on the lap counter. Still need a start line and positions. Anything else? Idk 😂🎃👻

Redwood timelapse (4 min 0 sec)

Stepping down the accelerometer weighting did indeed reduce the shaking. The battery is losing 800mAh per hour of stabilizing, giving it 2 hours before puff.

Rewind of the EMP 6364 to 236kv. This motor will be installed on a Skyline Corvus 30cc which I will run on a 11S setup.
Motor was rewound using the half parallel dLRK winding scheme, using a single AWG19 wire.
This winding coupled with the replacement of the original multi strand by a single thick copper wire makes for an extremely powerful and efficient motor which runs much cooler.
Motor rewind thread here
A build log on the plane should follow soon.

Started to look at the various pieces as the came out of the FlyFly box, it seems all the underwing tanks are missing.

Other than that, the kit seems in reasonable shape. I got it from hobby88.com (which is basically flyfly),

This is the Maiden Flight for my new HSD Zero Fighter 1100MM Japanese WWII Warbird. Normally I post the unboxing and review video first, but this footage with my new camera turned out so nicely aside from my REALLY poor crosswind landing that I couldn't wait!

Unboxing Only - HSD Zero Fighter 1100MM RC Plane Japanese WWII Warbird (13 min 50 sec)

Review Notes:

Pros:
- Beautiful! It is as attractive as any of my other more expensive planes
- Scale flaps and retracts
- Rubber tires
- Only used 30% of the 4000mAh battery on the maiden flight

Cons:
- Not beginner friendly. I had to make a lot of modifications to make it perform like you see in the video.
- Elevator has some slop left to right, but still seems to fly fine

This is the moment I've been waiting for since I started this build about three months ago. I'm now completely through with Zeke's manual-in-progress 1.5. I've proved that the plane kit can be successfully put together, through the info in the three manuals-in-progress, plus my additions and corrections on this blog and previously on the Bamboo Bomber thread. There is now no need to wait any longer to build your own Bobcat.

I'll be continuing on with the completion of the plane and posting the highlights. I wish you all much enjoyment with your own build.

I got 70" EF Extra during early spring 2015 as they were dumped at bargain prices (discontinued model) by a Scandinavian dealer. I went cheap route with elevator servos and picked Hyperion servos, which were same size and also quite similar specs as 7245 Hitecs. All the servos in this plane are run at HV.

Well, these servos also were very fluttery on ground from start. I knew that that flutter/jitter should stop during load (and it did when for example pressed with elevator with finger) so I wasn't too worried about it.

To my great surprise during flight 34 elevator fluttered violently during relatively fast straight line flying (IMAC style practice, not full power though). Something clearly broke in the plane (heard a crack) so I immediately initiated landing. Made it safely to ground, but it was evident already in flight that fuse was broken and also left side elevator servo wasn't working properly. As I touched down left servo totally stopped working and also right side servo quit when I tested high rate elevator movements after landing.

The servos clearly weren't up to the task, probably the gears were already damaged during previous flights and finally wrecked on this flight. The tail of the plane had completely broken, it was basically held only by covering together - so in that perspective I was really, really lucky to fly the plane to ground. Gears (carbonite) of both elevator servos were broken.

Based on earlier repairs I had made I wasn't too worried. Of course it was a bit disappointing, this was a new plane for me and first damage is always frustrating, but I was confident that I would get it repaired.
