So this morning I was able to maiden my Kaos 40, and I am glad to say that it went flawlessly. The aircraft is so smooth and it fly's amazingly. We have a little video, which I'll get to posting later tonight.

So, my Kaos 40 has been completed. It now has an OS 40FX instead of the Magnum 40 because the latter would not start after hours of frustration.

Hopefully I'll maiden it today or tomorrow.

So, I recieved a Super Kaos 40 kit and Magnum in the mail last week while I was on vacation to Connecticut, but I had enough time tonight to go ahead and start building the wing.

Setup as follows:

Magnum .40 - 8oz tank
(4) Futaba S3003's
Hitec 05S

I'm not sure what RX pack I'm going to use as I forgot to buy one at the hobby shop today, but I'll let you all know.

P.S. No sanding has been done, so please take that into account.

I was flying my Vapor tonight over 100 feet high. Its quite cool to see it up that high, just wandering around the sky. Be careful to not get it out of range, but it seems to have pretty good range for what it is. I also managed to snap some more pics while flying it lower. Sorry for the poor quality but it was getting dark outside and I was flying with one hand while trying to get some decent photos. Enjoy.

Oh, and this beautiful California weather we have had for the last couple of days is just wonderful. At 5:00 at night, outside without a jacket on, is a luxury in the middle of January. It makes me want Spring to come oh so quicker.

So, after 3Disaster's and I attempt at a Super Cub Build off, we have decided to make something a little more achievable and to be able to use stuff we have laying around.

Me and 3Disaster have decided to have a build off that will run from the 1st of September to the 1st of December. We are using the same plans and mostly the same equipment, with a Thunder Tiger .07 up front. This will be my first nitro build and I have high hopes that it will be a fun one.

We have each decided on a separate covering scheme. I on N4971H, which if you are familiar with the book, "Flight of Passage", you'll know that this aircraft was flown coast-to-coast in the 60's by Kern and Rinker Buck.

I just finished my Guillows Super Cub tonight. I used CA to build all the frames and then hot glue to put the components together because 1) I was out of CA, 2) It works really well, and 3) its cheap.

The hot glue strings are really brought out in the pictures because I was on macro mode and it makes everything really pop out. Also notice that the tissue isn't very tight. My tissue wouldn't shrink with the application of a light mist of water. It sucks, but it doesn't bother me.

So, these are just preliminary pictures and you can expect some better ones out side in a little bit.

Well, I have done all that I can on my Edge at this point. My servos are on their way and my battery will be shipped early this week. You can see that I added some custom decals to the plane with Staples Sticker Paper that you stick in your printer and print directly on too. Unfortunately though, Terry the TX's eyes will be covered by a servo. I forgot about those when placing the decal.

So, you may have seen my thread in the Micro/Indoor forum, and saw that I would be converting this build to R/C. Well, I changed my mind and am going to save the money and use it for a different, larger model. I have finished all the pieces for this airplane, and have just started putting them together. Enjoy the pictures.

Well, my friend came over yesterday and we were looking at my Blade CX that I thought needed a new receiver. Well, come to find out, the crystal was put in wrong. We fixed it, and now it works! I'm so excited and can't wait to start moding it and flying it once again.

Well, this won't be exciting for all of you experience 3-d flyer's, but it is for me. I ordered a Slo-V about two weeks ago and I've been flying it and thoroughly enjoying it, so I thought I should share my joy with you guys.

So, my R/C fun started with a PZ J-3 Cub I got a couple years back. It was great and I learned a lot. Then I kind of drifted away from R/C but came back maybe 2 years after that J-3. I browsed the internet looking for my second airplane and saw the PZ Typhoon. Oh my, big mistake. I was entranced by its looks and sophisticated radio(well, for me it was after only flying 3-ch. ) that I immediately wanted it and put it on my Christmas list. Then, Christmas came around, and there it was, Nicely packaged and undamaged.
I put it together,(all that you have to with a PZ bird) and waited for the weather to clear. One day it was nice outside so I flew it. It flew nicely, but knowing me, it probably hit the ground, but nothing to bad. I flew it more after that, but kept crashing and was getting frustrated. Then, one day, after maybe 2 new fuselages, I made the decision that I needed to get an easier airplane. Hence, the Slo-V.

The Slo-V is great. It was easy to put together, its a great flyer, it has X-Port, and the parts usually are $3-$10. So inexpensive!
I have been flying the Slo-V for a couple days now, enjoying every bit of it. Haven't crashed it yet, (knock-on wood) and hope I don't. I don't think I could take the downtime to well.

Well, thats my Slo-V experience so far. Its a great model and I recommend it to any beginner as a Slow flying, well mannered aircraft. After you get proficient at flying it, make your friend get one and you guys can get Ariel Combat modules and dogfight. I'm going to do that with my friend, but the California weather is bringing in a big storm and heavy winds. No day for flying.
