My first SAB heli. Originally flew it on 12s, but ended up really liking it at medium head speed on 10s. -

No the camera wasn't in Sepia mode, it was 10 days of smoke from wildfires. This wasn't even the worst day... -

My new (and favorite) config for the Black Thunder: 10s 4000 with the Leopard LC700 460kV. Couldn't ask for more from a $90 motor! -

Dr. Evil is back. Not as fast as the first Dr. Evil, but this one has a "longer fuse" (built to last) and actually flies better due to reduced weight. -

Happy New Year's Eve! What better way to end the year than with a new heli. This is the T-Rex 700 for low head speed at 9.5lbs RTF on 6s.

Beautiful early winter day for a first flight of the EF 60" Extra. Best "small" plane i've ever flown for mixed precision and stick slamming. -

The 550X after its first flight next to my original 500X. The 500X is a great heli. The 550X is a frikken' shark with frikken' laser beams. Gonna need some bigger batteries. -

Insanely low pirouettes. And i don't mean one or two. It was a couple dozen piros low enough to almost trim the grass. -

Pretty tight fit even for a 75k. This was the nastiest servo installation i ever had to do. Getting the output arm geometry right was critical. My hat is off to the dedicated sailplane crowd that has to do this on a regular basis. -

Spaghetti routing completed just prior to gooping the connector with Shoe Goo for insulation and mechanical robustness. Had to get my glasses out to solder this up. -

One of my best days in the hobby! 2+ hours on one launch. i was scraping around down at ~50m twice and thought i was toast, but found a bump to keep me going. -

i can't believe i didn't get a pic of it all finished until today. Taking pictures of sailplanes in February makes me anxious for summer.
