Finally got around to mounting the motor in my other funtana 40. I got tired of the slimy saito I had in my other one. This is just test fitting, a few miscalculations and corrections later I will make a new motor mount. Too many holes in this one trying to find out where everything needs to be. I have never done this before, so it's trial and error for now. I still need a bigger prop also.

I had to hook a battery to the motor just to play with it, (new toy and all.)

I definately am going with the 13x10 prop. Just fooled around with a couple of props, one being a 13x6 that I had on my saito 82 and it didn't seem to have enough thrust. I'll have to check the rpm later to compare it to the saito.

Ok, let's say i'm less than pleased. Now that the building fun is over, I got to test fly the micro speedwing. The best I got out of it was about a 20 foot powered glide to the deck. The damn thing feels like a rock. I tried the 600 mah 7.4v pack and 340 mah 11.1v pack. Neither one seemed to be too different from the other. I guess i'll mess with it some more. The wind seems to have died down today.

Just throwing up a few pics of my micro speed-wing build. Pretty simple. Maiden flight soon. Just need to put the elevons on and hook them up and it should be ready.
Got a 340 mah 11.1 Volt pack on for starters. Hope it isn't too much for the motor. I put a heat sink on to help. We'll see.
