Took me a long time to get this dialed in. Finally the turn around is smooth and the return home / auto pilot works perfectly!

I fly the plane on the way out but the whole return home is done with auto pilot!

With my FPV Twinstar2 I flew from Key Biscayne to South Beach. Miami, FL.

The flight home was all done with AUTOPILOT / RETURN HOME through my DOSD. Went smooth as silk. I could not be happier.

Setting this baby up for FPV.

EPP modified Sukhoi - SU47 jet (Semi Thrust Vectoring)

Ok, I am doing it to myself again. Overloading myself with projects but hey, fun is fun. I designed her in Adobe Illustrator with a 24'' wingspan 31'' in length so that it all fits on one sheet of 24x36 EPP. I will be building her entirely out of EPP with a 3mm CF spar in the wing.

The motor will be in the middle of the plane to assist with CG and since the rear elevons are behind the motor it will act as ghetto thrust vectoring since the control surface is redirecting the airflow. Should make for some fun aerobatics.

Motor: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5430
8x4 prop
18a ESC
1800mah 3s lipo
2x HXT 900 servos

Cheapo CX161 cam
HXT 500 pan servo
300mw VTX

Thinking about just running a single battery system.

I plan on building the entire plane, sans FPV gear, in about 3 hours. I will take some pictures and post the build.

Its been a while since my last update. Life has been crazy with the new baby but it is an adventure and I am loving every minute of it. I have managed to squeeze in building and flying in small increments, lol.

Here's a few of my FPV planes, I love them all!...Continue Reading

Inspired by another FPV pilot in the forums I ordered this Swift 2 online and set it up for FPV. Its hooked up with a 900 mhz 200mw TX, and a CX161 cam for video. I am ordering a better cam today because I am not happy with the clarity.

I flew her today, she is great in the air, like she is on rails. Very fast and agile, with the weight of all my gear she definitely isn't a glider.

I get about 10 mins of flight time with a 2200 mah 3s lipo.
