Not completed yet. Soon will be. Weight around 13-14 oz. New Big Mig Norvel .074 for pulling duty. Should be a little quick...Ok, it's finished! AUW is 14.3 oz. with a 6 cell 260 maH NiMH battery. Looking forward to the maiden after engine break-in. I will get video and post on YT for those interested. This plane has been maidened plus one one. As I suspected, it's a very fast flyer and highly acrobatic. Drop launches with ease and pulls out fast in a rolling vertical if asked to do so! It's not as pitch sensitive as I was thinking either. Engine off glide is fast but managable, you just have to keep the nose down until the flare for landing (predictable for this type of plane), all in all, a good bit of fun in a small fast package. Video as soon as I can get someone to do it for me.

Full house Joystick, with AP .061. Not flown yet, just completed a couple days ago. AUW at 24 oz with a 600 mah battery for weight and 2 oz tank. Absolutely the easiest aircraft to build ever, parts cut and assembled in 2-3 days. I didnt attempt to build it any lighter than the plans called for, but I think it could easily be a full house aircraft with wet power a 18-19 oz total. Theres lots of places to cut away wood for a lighter aircraft without sacrificing a lot of strength. I plan on building another wing with very little dihedral for all out aerobatic performance, depending on how this wing flies with original dihedral.

KkThis is a vintage kit long OOP from Sig. It's a kit I'm building for a fellow RCG member. Let's get started! Pics here are of the kit pieces being sorted and relevant parts for each area of the fuselage, wings, and tailfeathers, along with the FG parts and LG. The wing parts after being cleaned up and dry fitted before assembly. Another project that got in the way of other projects. Hey, at least it's finished and has been maidened as of today. Flies well, almost like a powered glider with the extended (42") wing. Flies a little nose heavy, now corrected.

Alright, I've been super busy with work and a few other obligations to friends planes that I have made lately. I haven't been able to keep up this blog as much as I would like working 60-70 hours a week. This is what is in the works right now. I have a Balsa USA Northstar in the final build stages(it has been for some time now)it will also need radio and covering installation. I still haven/t fully decided to power it with a nitro or electric power system. I have a BLT from the 70's or 80's built and awaiting it's radio and powerplant installation, and covering. I have a small SupCubPacer(my own design) finished, less windscreen and motor. I have a small Pomillio(Vic Smeed design) almost ready for maiden. I need to get it's electronics in order/ windscreen. I recently acquired a HL Farman 400 (it's getting an .049 for power). The Farman will also be a build thread, I think. I have a GP Slowpoke .40 to build also. Then there is the Dynaflite Butterfly as well as the Decathlon to build. I plan build threads for them too! Oh, last but not least the Pat Trittle Barnwell Monoplane, built, flown, needs it's rx back in place. So, if you are following my blog, these are the plane builds to look forward to! This was the second plane from Windrider, the first one I had was the smaller Bee. Both are great performers after all these years. Each one has a very good flat glide and speed in spades on a 3-4 cell lipo.

A few parts in a bag from Turnkey RC(now defunct) turned out this beauty. The only one I've ever seen again, just like the Airmaster. 18 oz., 33"WS, geared drive.

Airmaster is a 1960's design 56" wingspan, .46 TT, navigation lights, custom built LG. Very good sport flyer, the only one I have ever seen other than the one the designer himself built.

Clancy Aviation Ladybug, 10.5 oz with R/E/T. Wingspan is 21.5", 430mah lipo yields 6-8 minutes of flight, 800mah lipo yields 15-20 minute flight with a slight weight penalty @ 11.5 oz. Flight characteristics remain the same. One of the best flying aircraft I have right now, it also handles winds up to 10 mph with no problem. This aircraft was scratchbuilt from plans found on OZUK, as are most of my planes as of late.

Lately, I have been concentrating on smaller models in the 10-20 oz range. This is one example of a scratchbuilt FF design converted to R/E/T. A smooth flyer, very enjoyable for someone who wants nothing more than to have a relaxing fly in the "backyard".

Ok, I decided that I would start on this now that I have a little free time. In my blog you will find many different types of models, my interests vary widely and differ according to what strikes me at the moment. Yes, I do have a touch of AHDD. I hope that anyone visiting my blog will enjoy the photos and accompanying text. I have been modeling for over 30 years and I have enjoyed this one aspect of my life immensely! I originally started out like many with plastic models, and CL Cox models. I never tried FF, but I do convert many older FF designs to modern R/C. I realize that the pictures aren't always of the best quality and sometimes details you may find interesting may not show up. If you find this is the case, or you want more detailed pictures, I will do my best to oblige you. I have made many friends over the years through this hobby and am always looking to make more, even if our only contact is through this medium. I am always happy to answer questions or discuss any aspect of this hobby you might wish. That being the case, know that my experience ranges across the board from fixed wing, rotary wing, and the new multi-rotors. I have the most experience with building and flying fixed wing aircraft, however, I am also quite experienced with the rotary wing autogyro.
