Here's a link to my drone aerial photography business. I've been operating drones commercially since 2007, before the word "drone" was being used. It was still multicopters or quadcopters, and the DJI Phantom had yet to be invented. The top multicopters at the time were Mikrocopter and they were a pain to solder together... how times have changed!

Heres a video of me FPV flying the VAS Banshee around a football field jogging track. It's quite the fast little plane, and unfortunately I hit the goal post making a tight turn. Easy fix with only minor damage.

I captured this awesome night flight at Hoverpalooza 2015, and the unfortunate demise of a 100cc PAU Extra 300SP as it was cut in half by a 37% Pilot Yak 54's carbon prop. The Extra got a little too close to the yak's "personal space" and... well, watch the video!

Heres some photos of my Xtreme Decathlon from Bill Hempel's Team Edge. Although it's the smallest plane produced by Bill, it still flies big! Outfitted with a DLE 55, Xoar 23x8, and Hitec HS 7954SH servos from ServoCity....Continue Reading

I just finished the build for the latest RCGroups review: the Kyosho Plazma Lm PORSCHE 962c Coupe. For power, I'll be using a Viper VTX system consisting of a VTX10 BE esc and VST 8.5 turn sensored brushless. Should haul the mail!

I'm almost done with the official RCGroups review of the Tamiya FJ Cruiser. Sitting on top of a durable CC01 chassis, the FJ Cruiser is a nice semi-scale trail rig that's quite capable in stock form.

Here's some photos from the review.

Check out my latest review of the Arrowmax 14-piece tool set. Not only do these little hand tools look great, but they are equally as tough; the tips are spring steel with a titanium-nitride ceramic coating.

Here's a few photos taken from the DJI Phantom Vision+.
Despite its noisy ISO settings at dusk, it produces some decent photography from it's proprietary camera.

Here's a few pics of the TEN Rally-X hooking up in the snow. This is one big rally car for being 1/10th scale. It features AVC, designed to keep the vehicle in control during hard launches and turning. It can be dialed up or down in sensitivity, or turned off completely.

I was very much amazed at how much AVC helps keep the Rally-X in control on ice and snow., and still went as fast as a car without it. The rally car is a perfect platform for AVC because it enables you to perform long, sweeping power slides that just look so realistic.

I got tired of looking for shore power to keep my deep cycle charged, and 120vac is hit and miss at most fields, so I installed a pair of 100w solar panels on the roof. The 30a controller keeps the battery topped off and desulfates as well.

At noon sun, the panel makes close to 200 watts and over 11 amps.
