Bought some parts and picked up my old Blade SR started to repair the carnage and bought a Blade 230 receiver. I did not know if it will work but I was told by Horizon that the 230 is a variant of the SR. So I thought can this work? So I bought the receiver, tail motor and the ESC and got to work. Had some issues with finding the right servo to receiver connections but got them in and they seemed to work so on went the blades and the first bunny hop. It Flew!! But the servos gave wayyyyyy toooo much pitch 23* so I de-tuned the servo travel and adjusted the tracking a bit and tried again. This flies real nice but I need to do some tweaking because I have some drift to the right. I left the flybar on (Yes I know the receiver is for a flybarless heli!!). The stability modes are very strong when testing, so I am stoked to see it fly outside. Only if the weather would cooperate with me now. I bet this would also work on my Blade CP's, after all I have the mother load of parts for them and I have converted one to 2.4 GHZ. So why not maybe I will even make a flybarless Blade CP. I gotta use up those parts somehow.

Photos tomorrow.

I am waiting on some parts for my Lite Machines Corona 120 fixed pitch helicopter that I have had for ever. It still flies and I am going to update it with a new FrSky receiver with stability, new ESC and brushless power, and possibly my Spartan gyro. I need to post some photos of it.

Went to Lebanon RC Flea market today and scored a complete Carl Goldberg Mirage 550 kit. Love Goldberg planes fly so well. Going to put a brushless and Ailerons on it. The kit looks like it has some vendor trauma (some small broken sticks) nothing that cannot be dealt with. I did say it was complete, but the manual is missing. Printed one from the internet. I like the older colors like cream, tan, browns for this model. Yes I know it is a trainer! But I like the way it looks and it could use some updating. looking like I am getting a 28 series brushless with a 10 in prop, maybe a park 480. 480 seems a little lite for a 50" wing and 46oz..... So here some photos of what it looks like. I want to get more Goldberg models in the future. I have an Ultimate 10-300S I am going to convert to electric very soon. I need to print a motor mount and make a battery holder.
