#bringbacktheumxjug

I recently installed the motor from the UMX P-51 Voodoo into the OG UMX P-47

Now I have WEP power on the Jug (WEP - Wartime Emergency Power)

This is a grass roots movement, note the hashtag... Join the Bring Back the UMX Jug bandwagon...

Bipie Number Six (or Seven, not counting Bipie #1, we don't talk about that one much )

What the heck I took the pictures might as well share them.

Original design by RCG member Chara

Much modified and otherwise "hacked" by yours truly over the years...

Why I haven't been active on RCG threads in a few days....

Uhhhh!!!! I got distracted...

Blame it on Covid-19...

First of all as some are aware of just coming out of a Covid 19 situation here, and praise the Lord, everybody came through with out any harm. (Incl. Me )

But since I was on quarantine my mind started to wander, and then fixed on the stupidest thing/idea... Saw this piece of foam packing and it was all downhill from there.

Anyway the entertaining part first, and then more details if anyone is interested, sure as heck not gonna waste a lot of time putting together something if I'm the only one looking at it, but then again I have a very low "outside" interest level, so leave a comment, I can't say no to sharing info if someone asks.

Can't get my mind off the thought of attending Nall this year. So that is my RC focus for this Winter. Interested in any and all input. Particularly from others memories of their first time, at Nall guys, not that "other" first time.

Tripped across a reference to SEFF and that got me thinking, Joe Nall Week and SEFF are (in my mind) two completely different types of RC Flying events.

Have attended SEFF before and my summary of SEFF, "Spring Break for Guys with too many planes" Which I am all about... Since SEFF is roughly one week before Joe Nall Week, I'm thinking that my first focus will be SEFF, and then follow up with Nall in the Fall.

Don't get me wrong, still dedicated to punching my Nall ticket before I start flying for the Angels, but SEFF is, well, just not as "serious" as Nall. At SEFF I know I will fit in, at Nall I fear I would just be a little bitty frog in a really big pond.

Still interested in hearing about Nall, and personal experiences of those who have attended. But now I am adding SEFF to that list..

Hardly ever used this feature in RCG before...

Sometimes you just need to do something to put a smile on your face. For me that something was flying my old decrepit, many times repaired and "modded" to death MIni-Vapor in the parking lot of the hotel. The wind had died off to nothing the sun was starting to set and I had a generous open area and found the smile (and peace) that I was looking for.
