I'm 2 for 4 with this little girl.....both failures occured when I tried to put the fans internal of the fuse..never could get the efflux cone right...so I'm going back to the variant that flew, with a few changes......this version will be 1/2" pink foam, Elmer's board KF-2 wing, (2) 6 blade 70 mm fans with 3500 kv Motors, 80 amp esc's and a 5000 mah 50C 4 cell....I'll use this post as a build log.....finishing the drawings now

Less than an hour....(2)small piece of 1x6 common pine, and one of those lawnmower frame T-bolts with knob...Ideally, the little "keeper collars" should be brass to better accept solder..but you get the idea

I got tired of wasting aluminum and or music wire trying to bend landing gear with a vice/pliers/hammer....So I built a 2 ton hydraulic press brake out of materials readily available at HD/Lowe's, and that doesn't require any welding and or special tools....worked like a champ..so I decided to build a wire bending tool.....same deal, no special tools.....drawings are included.....The press brake cost me less and $50 and the wire bender less than $10.....

Y'all have fun

On the downwind leg, my instructor shut down the port engine, and wouldn't let me relight........like flying a drunken whale with a hard starboard list.......

One last time......

I got to fly for close to 2 hours with my best friend, swapping off take-offs and landings out of JFK and Hong Kong.....Our instructor is a fabulous person, but he has a mischievous side....on the downwind leg of my approach to 07L at Hong Kong, he cut the port engine on me...a bit of right rudder and and a little left aileron fixed that, but she (an A300 Airbus) was wallowing around the sky like a drunken whale.....exciting wasn't the word for it....

But I still painted the landing.........while both my friend and instructor were laughing their butts off....As a note we never flew with autopilot or auto land......the realism is amazing...sadly our instructor is moving on to fly commercial.....best of luck to him

I know I'm one to preach about "taking your time" and "check everything" before starting a cut......well dumbo here just cut out an entire airframe and forgot to account for the kerf of the bit......and I didn't discover it until I started the assembly of the wing..couldn't figure out why everything was a 1/16th to 3/32nds off.....D'OH !

I feel like burning the mess I made of the last airframe.......what a moron.....lost all interest in building her ....on to something different....probably an A-10 Thunderbolt foamie.........
