As my grand-children are approaching flying ages, 4 and 6, I am contemplating trainers for them.
Our first-love is (electric) gliding and I will have a look at something like a Graupner Amigo (I have the plans from my first glider) and some other models with/without electric options.

My post is a tribute to my late uncle Sieger (a modeller of exceptional skill and patience) and Paul of Airfield Models, his dedication to perfection is a great motivation.

Some caveats:
I am possibly the worst writer in the world.
My normal day-job, (that endeavor we pursue to enable us to enjoy our hobbies), is very demanding. So much so that I cannot always spend the requisite hour building. Never mind blogging about the build.
South Africa has the best flying weather in the world, if I can fly I will build tomorrow - or next week. (let me know if you are coming here - I may stick a glider in your hand and watch your smile!!)

If the above does not frighten you away... welcome to my (modest) workshop. My son, Ian, assembles and repairs... I try (and often succeed) to create airplanes.
All and any replies are welcome...
