Has anyone seen this nitro heli? I can't find any more videos other than what's on here but I thought it looked interesting. Just slightly bigger than a 450 from what I can tell, but nitro.

Here's the lowest price I found, but I can't find any parts for this heli. I'm not buying anything, I was just curious about it since it's a nitro version. I guess it uses most of the standard parts of the longer 450 but I'm not sure what that tail boon length is for example. I'm was just trying to see what I could dig up on it.

I have been off because I got into 3D printing. So all the other hobbies are taking a break for now. I have been playing with this for a while so not much going on here but I can show you a few of the parts I have made so far and they can also be purchased from the site as well. I have made very few parts but I wanted to show them or link to them here because I'm sure others may like the quad quick release part I made. I also have a gimbal adapter coming, but I'm double checking the files to make sure they are all correct before I upload them there. Maybe you guys will like the others too, but since I'm just getting started because I have been learning about 3D printing it's going to take a while to get more parts, but like anything else a little bit at a time. I'm really enjoying this so this is why I thought I share.

I just found this reading stuff and it looked interesting so I thought I share it. Who knows how much it will cost and what specifications are, but something like that would be really cool in a quad. I'm not sure you can install it upside down though, now that would be cool if it can be mounted that way too.

My dad has this awesome flashlight, but the rubber button got torn and the tiny button is practically impossible to press. Not to mention it seems to get stuck. It has taken me a while to figure out how to get into it, but I finally did it. Before I move on I should note that what I like about this flashlight is that it uses an ultrafire 18650 3000mAh battery and the charger plugs right into the flashlight so you don't have to ever take out the battery. Unfortunately the button is on the top instead of the end of the flashlight which is also tiny and had a rubber cover on it, which I don't know where it went when I took this apart just now. I think it was torn anyway. Now the question is, where do you find these rubber pieces and buttons that you can solder in place. I can't seem to find any but if I do I can finally get it fixed. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I need to work in my car and since it's really hot in the day, I will need to be there either very early or late at night. So I have been looking for some cheap super bright flashlights to work under the dash as there is no way I'm going in there without a good flashlight now that they are more readily available.

I wanted to know if any of you have used or are using these batteries from Hobbypeople? I have been wanting/procrastinating to get a couple more for my 450 helis since I killed two, one blue from hobbypartz and one yellow that died from HK. Interestingly they have a sale on them and I thought, ok what the heck I'll give them a try as I can't keep buying these things all the time. I got the ad in the mail friday. I had to make a drive, but it's not too far and I can just pick them up. So I picked this 2200 mah batteries. I couldn't find any videos or actual reviews on them so I thought I put them on here. The guys there were pretty cool and not like years past so that was a nice change. Anyway I will of course update you on them as I find out how they hold up. They need to be charged when you get them though. I also just got a set of plugs to make an adapter so I can use them with my banana plugs. So that's the only down side if you consider that a down side and I don't feel like de-soldering and re-soldering plugs. One of my chargers came with a charging plug for these so I'm good there. The cells look pretty balanced out of the package and I like how they are actually a tad smaller than my other 2200 mah batteries. I just hope they perform well for my noob flying. Oh, and if they can give us a bit more tech specs on them would be good too. Like the burst for example, even though that may not mean much. I don't know, I'm still testing different batteries. This is the biggest load of crap. People don't fly over LA since these things only last a few minutes to begin with. Not to mention these are not DRONES! Flying just above a house or trees is not getting in the way of air traffic not to mention it's a very hard thing to learn, what are these people smoking. Sorry, but this just did if for me. Sure there are dumb people, there's no doubt about it, but making everything that comes here illegal is just the most ridiculous thing ever. First, there were those small pocket bikes which were fun until they broke since they were not the best in terms of quality just to give you an example, now this...so basically you can't have fun or learn about technology because someone thinks people are out there doing something wrong or going to do something wrong. As a technologist this is what really does it for me. Rules are good to a point, but some people are taking these things way off base. Then they wonder why kids are falling behind in schools or just becoming dumber compared to other countries where kids and people are encouraged to learn . Oh yeah not to mention all the hard work, time and money people put into these things, do they think you want to go crashing onto things? Idiots. It hurts when I crash while testing my stuff, I don't want to crash on anything. Sorry but I just had to do my rant after watching the news. I just got this in the mail today. I wanted to try one out with my non Gopro camera. It looks like I will be able to use it, but I need a longer screw for the camera as that is my prefered method instead of a strap. I wanted the whole all included package to keep things simple. I did not want to try and piece things together since I had seen the whole package together for a lower price. I managed to find one and I just put it together. Unfortunately there's more work to do as this is not a plug an play package. I will explain as I go because it was actually a real pain in the butt on some things. I started looking at these just for fun again since I'm still trying to get my cnc stuff going. I stumbled on this page today which is well organized and very helpful. I knew there were a lot of printers out there, but this site puts the basic information on them in one place. This include the machine, pricing and other details that you normally look for. I thought I share because I like this stuff and I'm sure others on here might too. I like how these printers are looking more and more like your regular paper printers and I can't wait to see how much more affordable and functional they will get.

I have this old usb dvr that I thought I could use for fpv. Unfortunately it's an old one that even the company no longer supports. So I thought I check out the id's on it to see if I could get a driver for windows 7. So far not much luck, but the reason I wanted to post this is because of what I found inside. Yes I took this apart to look at what chips it uses so maybe I could find a bit more information on it. Unfortunately I found all the chips scratched off. This is just a terrible practice because now I got nothing to go with to try to make this work. There's just no reason to do this to electronics. I know some do it in flybarless gyros, and I'm sure many other things. But this just makes it hard to try and get any information on something that was bought from a store. I know I can get a very low cost easy cap for example, but I already had this and thought I could finally make some use of this piece of hardware. Anyway I just thought I bring this up because there's no reason I don't think to do this. I have a good idea why it was done, but as a user trying to find a way to actually used it, well it just makes it useless and you better believe I won't be buying anything else from this company if this is what they like to do.

I was always a bit curious of how these tooth brushes charged. I knew they used a coil, etc, but I always wanted to actually open these up. Well, my toothbrushes finally have stopped working so I figured, I might as well try to open them up now since I'm going to throw them away anyway. Interestingly enough, it looks like I can fix at least the older one with the green battery. The second one uses the old ni-cd battery and one of the coils came off, so I'm not sure if I can solder it back in the right place. Either way, does anyone know what size battery I can use to replace the green battery, or both. Neither has specs on it and I believe the green is, well I have no idea as it doesn't say. I'm wiring these motors for my G450 and I can't figure out which side is Phase A and which side is Phase B. I am now ready to solder the controller pins but I'm not sure about this and also does it matter which side is negative and positive?

I went ahead and did my soldering. I'm not quite sure if it's totally correct, but I think I at least got my motors working. I added the videos in the blog linked below.

Alright so here's my brief review of this piece of hardware. It's not and rc component, but I'm sure it will eventually help me connect to the rc stuff when needed. I'm just testing that blogger software so there's not much of anything there. I'm sure others will find this helpful though as these things are getting pretty sweet.

I wanted to change the settings on my kk2 esc's and I grabbed the programmer and plugged the esc to it, I then without much thought just plugged my 2000mah battery straight to it. I forgot that you don't want to put more than 5 volts on these things. Needless to say only 3 lights turn on it now. Since i always wanted to see what's inside of them I thought I share this with you guys. So far not much in there and I know something got fried, but nothing looks obvious. Go figure. I have another but I need to find it now.

I was looking through tablets and found this sport cam, the best part is that it is small like my swann and the gopro and even better is the price! Only 79 dollars! This is the regular price, not the black friday price. Much lower than the swann with similar features, at least on paper but I am liking it. My swann is still working, but for a bit there I thought something was wrong and contacted swann and they said it was out of warranty and would have to pay for service. In any case, I have always kept an eye out for anything that could replace it. This one even has wifi. I am not sure how the wifi works on it as I can't find anything on the specifications if it actually has it.

I got these lowest cost retracts to see if I could do something with them. I have never used any or have any airplanes, so when I got them, this is what was included. Unfortunately, neither the retracts or the electric pieces come with a shaft I can use for them. Am I suppose to use a coat hanger for these or do retracts not come with those parts? If anyone can fill me in on these I would really appreciate it, thanks. I thought I had everything I needed for retracts.

I just took out all my black retracts and noticed something that makes no sense...each one of the bags with the plate only has one screw! There are four holes on each on of the retracts...This is my very first set, so I have no idea what else is normally included, but I'm guessing I'm missing some screws. I don't know, but I'll find something if that's the case.

I decided to take off the plate that comes installed and used the spare since that one sits on the opposite side which is what I need as I want to use these on a quad. The center pieces that hold the 3mm metal rod which I have to find is plastic. I'm learning that people use sets screws on there and the wheels come with those but no rod, so I can't put them together at the moment. It looks like I could also use that one screw instead of a set screw to hold the rod piece. Anyway, they were affordable and seem to work fine as for holding together, who knows.
