So I was finally able to get the SS flown via FPV. And what better location too than a buddy's farm. Wind was dead calm, but low clouds caused icing on the lens into the flight, forcing me to land. I had a good amount of fuzz in the video which I diagnosed as feedback from the motor, so I made a simple filter. Now its much better. Also stuck on a simple OSD for voltage.

This take off and landing were fun. Barn door is 13 feet wide and a tennis net in the middle of the barn. Worked out perfect though.

I thought our idle chatter would be more fun than music.

Got some great time in with the Grim Reaper at my new site. Still learning where all the trees are, tougher since they dont have leaves, but I was able to push the plane pretty low. Next flight will be out farther at low levels

So after moving to Detroit for medical school, I FINALLY found someone to fly with, and an amazing place to fly. I've spent the past couple times just exploring and getting familiar with the terrain. This is the first time I've flown over something other than flat ground lol. So even these 50 foot dunes were challenging. But I'm getting more comfortable with them. Next time I go out, I'll take my Reaper with me so I can get really low into the gully. Oh also, my HD camera quit recording just after take off, so nothing on that front..

tried to keep this flight as low as possible. I'm getting more and more comfortable with this plane. Next I'll really try to fly down between the tree. Might need to make a cage for the camera!

Finally got the vapor working properly. I hope to have longer and better videos as I learn to fly this plane. Its very different from my other ones because its underpowered, sensitive to wind and control input, and the camera is like looking through binoculars..lol makes for interesting flying.

So my goal to fly around the yard isnt over..lol I ordered a new fus and parts for the SS. After looking over my video several times, I think I ran into problems cuz I had the throttle too high. Cruise setting has the props turning slowly through the camera frame. The blurred prop means I was almost full throttle. A bad idea when the plane needs to be flying as slow as possible.

So I'll post more videos as I keep trying (and crashing lol).
