I decided to let my imagination run wild and ended up with a pretty good looking little plane. I made a small round cowling out of a styrofoam cup and used duct tape in a few places. I stiffened the wing with some bamboo skewers, I also painted the orange stripes with hobby acrylic paint water base. I decided to use lots of decals and to me it kinda looks like some sort of old racing plane. Flying weight without battery is 10.5 oz. I think the orange prop kinda sets it off to. Can't wait to fly it!

This is an F-27 Stryker painted a solid white styro body with Krylon Camo Beige and Krylon Flourescent. I love the neon color.

Built from scratch, items used listed below.

1) Body- Piece of styrofoam taken from a TV box used for shipping protection.
2) Nose, vertical stabalizers and flaperons taken from a couple of those cheap styro planes like you get at Walmart.
3) Colored duct tape for strength
4) Balsa strip underneath from front to back about 4" wide
5) Metal close hanger streched acrossed the back for stiffness and a small dowel stick across the front both are imbedded into the styro.
6) Total weight with battery still needs two servos, receiver and ESC 21.5 oz
7) Canopy was made from a clear plastic cup held on with velcro, the front was left open to keep battery cool, also there is a velcro strip beneath battery
8) The piece behind the canopy is a fuselage from one of the cheapo planes cut in half long ways
9) The nose is the tail section of one of the cheapo planes cut off and turned upside down, it slipped onto the plane perfect since ther was already a slit cut into it where the wing would fit if it were put together as a glider from the package
10) I built this plane in about 10 hours

Decided to convert my Super Miss into an Alaskan bush plane. I beefed up the landing gear with electrical wire, a washer, rubber tubing for flex (held onto the fuselage with two small eye hooks and some fishing corks to look like bungies. Conversion was less than $20 (tires with shipping were $15) The only problem was the rims on the new tires were to wide so I had to re-bend the landing gear wire to make the mounting area longer, lost a small amount of gear width but not enough to make a difference. The small LED flashlight is held on by velcro and makes a nice landing light late in the afternoons. If you will notice in one of the close-ups I made an air vent under the nose, it is v-shaped and I also removed one small section of covering under the back of the fuselage just in front of the tail section so the air could escape. This plane needed some air really bad because when you push it pretty hard things really get warm.The Super Miss is a great flying plane, It is the most responsive plane I have ever owned, I fly with this older gentleman and he calls it the sleeper. You can just putt putt around the field and all of a sudden unleash it and it will really move. Man I love this hobby, I've been tinkering with R/C for over 20 years and it is really endless what you can come up with and make it work. This hobby will keep us feeling young for a long time to come. Keep on flying!!!
