Ultrafly BAE hawk - This one looks really cool with a black paint scheme.
Alfa F-86 - Need a "real" EDF setup eventually. Fantom is like half pusher, half EDF really.
ETS brushless sensor - well I already pre-ordered...

JGF 500T: This is the motor you want for your FunJet. On a 7x7 prop, you're looking at nearly 100mph level, insane climb rates with unlimited vertical, and hair-raising dive speeds, all on 225-325 watts! Check out the chart below. Radared 96mph flat on a breeze-free day, wow. It's a pretty quiet setup too, easy to launch with all that thrust. Highly recommened.

500T + CC35 + Graupner 7x4 + TP2200-3SX on FunJet : about 160-260W in-flight. Very reasonable!

JGF 500TH: This is more of a noisy screamer setup. Not as much thrust as the 500T, but still has excellent unlimited vertical for a few more average watts, 260-320 sustained. Recommended props are 5.5x2.5 (87-94mph radared), or cut a 6x3 down to 5x3 for 101mph and some more noise. About 29-32A on a vertical climb. This is an awesome crowd-drawing setup due to the wailing noise and speed! More extreme.

Maybe some vids in a week or two!
In the mean time, check out these nice vids:

Multiplex EasyStar
Yes, you read right, my latest addition. Constructed for my brother, but I could never get him back out to the field, even though he can fly in the simulator, and has flown the crappy SkyFly a few times. I grabbed a 2700Kv inrunner from the local store 'cause I was in a hurry. A bit hot on 3s lipo, but great for flying in the wind when everyone else quits! It's an awesome beginners' plane, easy to fly, not twitchy, yet with a proper motor has plenty of power and adequate surface controls. Running a 6x3 prop, custom made by cutting down an APC 7x3 Sport prop. I like flying upside-down across the field to amuse everyone with a beginner's plane.

Hand-made with coated Depron, haven't installed any electronics yet. Constructed by Corsair Nut.

Robbe Gemini
I bought a JGF 300DF a long time ago but never had anything to put it on. But now I found a great model for it! I am running a 6x3 prop that is a tad hot for this motor, but the "Gemini Flying Style" isn't full-time WOT, so it's working out okay so far. Need to try the recommended 5.5x2.5 prop on this motor also. Not sure I can fit the MicroLogger in this craft for some measurements! See it here:

Just add servos, receiver, and battery, eh? Maybe I'll convert it to a pusher later. Just...Continue Reading
