Well this is more of a Kit than an arf , Getting the motor in as well as the fake radial has been a great engineering experience . It just took longer than I thought it would .

Wingspan is 210cm ,
AUW is 12kg
Battery is 3 x 5000 4s packs = 12s 5000mah
Motor = Hyperion 5045 kv 150
ESC = Scorpion 130amp hv
Amps WOT = 95
Watts = 3750
Prop = 19.9 x 14 x 3

Maiden flight was really smooth , its a cruiser . Id like to paint it in a different scheme next .
Special Thanks to Theo and Mark for the pics and Vid.

Let me know if you have any questions .

I decided to do my own scheme for my Hyperion Mustang 40e , and the Reno machines are pretty cool . So I stole the name from Mick a fellow RC pilot I fly with ......who keeps sticking himself to things with CA .
And I decided to give flite-metal a go , it a real piece of alloy with an adhesive backing , If you are going to use this stuff order double ....for the learning curve is costly.

ARF - Hyperion 40e Mustang
Motor - Hyperion ZS4025-10
Battery - 6s Turnigy Nanotech 3300mah
Prop - 12x12 apc
Spinner - truturn 4.25 inch mustang .

About a year ago I purchased this ESM Pilatus PC-21 from Austars Models in Australia , they had some minor damaged kits ...paint runs dents in canopy and decal upside down ....for a great price of course. So after a year of tinkering with it i finally got it ready for flight .
Thanks to Justin cooper photography for the pics and vid and Dale for the pic
And Flyingrally for the Air strip and advice, stickymicky for pics and Bpwer for inflight support

Just some pic's for research ,

Here it is , white to start with !! i so was hoping for silver ....i'll keep trying .

wow , It really is a beautiful plane to fly , "its like a trainer" and the big three blade prop sounds pretty angry in a dive .
There are just a few things to finish , cockpit , some exhaust work , a little bit more paint , pilot and gunner , and antenna .

I finally got a overcast day to take some shots

let me know if you have any questions.

Hyperion Me109e

Set up - Hyperion ZS3025-8 10x7 apc , 4s 4000mah extreme rc lipo , 80amp turnthingy esc , Hyperion BEC .

Scheme - Jagdgeschwader_53Pik-As , Werner Molders . One of the dads at my daughters kindergarten , his father flew in this squadron late in the war . So in respect i thought a 53pik-as was a nice idea.

The thing i like about these Hyperion warbirds is the fibreglass fuse , you can paint them so easily as apposed to the kyosho warbirds that are printed film.
There is nothing worse than turning up to the field with the Identical ARF that the guy next to you can produce out of the box . I like to research the aircraft and pic out a scale scheme and experiment with ways to make it happen.

Kit One - Hyperion Ki-84 Hayate .

Setup - Hyperion 4025-B10 , 13x8apc , Hyperion opto 80amp ESC . 5s 5000mah extreme rc lipo . Spektrum Digital servos ,
2 x Hobby Lobby Bomb release bombs . Pilot is from Petes pilots

Flying - Alot of fun this plane has not one bad aspect to it. It would be a perfect first warbird or below wing trainer , And you can weather it up very very easily .

Pics were taken on its maiden flight , thanks to Ron for the nice flybys so i could take the pics .

Some vid , I apologise for the landing
