Started a new build. It will be a 500 mm wheelbase folding quad. It will swing up to 12" props but I will probably start with 11" ones. The motors will be T-motor 2213/950 kv. Arms are 15 mm square CF tubes. ESC's are Sunrise 20A and will mounted inside the arms. Motors are mounted directly to the square tubes. Folded size will be less than 7"x 14".
I will be adding a forward facing gimbal and GoPro type camera.
For now I have the top and bottom plates of the frame made from 3/32" plywood. This is just for initial testing of the geometry. Once I have finalized the design, I will have new plates fabbed from CF....Continue Reading

I decided to resurrect my older Dex glass fiber shell and start a new build with greater lifting capacity.
I have extended the arms to allow larger props. I will be using Heng Li 4225/610 motors and 12" props to start with.
Weight without battery, gimbal or camera is 935 g.

I am building a waterproof quad in a Dex shell for shooting video over whitewater.
I will be using DJI E300 propulsion system and Vector flight controller. I plan to have FPV camera as well as GoPro Hero 3+ in an underwater housing. Eventually I will add a waterproof gimbal.
