Mark V is the motor. Not X as previously addressed. Looking for donor or crank rod. Any help would be appreciated.

purchased a SUPPOSEDLY never run .049 wen-mac MK-X. well never ran means that something went wrong. after removing the rear cover, wala.
looks like it made a single rotation before the piston connecting rod broke. evident by the almost complete circle on the rear cover. cant imagine what happened since the piston and crank both move smoothly.

not sure which MK series would be interchangeable but looking for help locating a replacement
any help would be appreciated

One of 3 found in my grandfathers garage. Body is in excellent being all aluminum riveted construction. Wing has deteriorated badly but easily reconstructible. Looking to identify what type of plane this is and if it is a homemade model or possibly a kit that was available when it was built. My mom remembered helping with this when she was very young. I'm guessing mid 40s. Powered by a Madewell 49 which I removed and recently got running.
Any help would be appreciated,
