Those who know me know I spend way too much time at the LHS. I was there last night drooling over the new Blade 360 CFX. Yeah, I bought the battery and started payments on it but that is a different story. There were two other people looking at it when the one guy starts talking about how he is ready for it. Naturally those of us who have been at it a few years ask him about his experience. His reply went something like "I've gotten really good at flying the 200 SRX. I can do all the orientations and I have about 12 flights on it. " . At that point we all jumped in with a big "No, this is not the heli you are looking for". He thought the 360 had auto-leveling and would fly similar to his FP, at which point we found out he hasn't even flown in advanced mode. We steered him towards flight sims and the Nano CPX which took me 4 months and 100+ flights before I could fly it controlled. And that was with the mCXP2 and MSR experience. I was at the LHS and a guy came in looking for an escape. We had no idea what he was talking about. Finally we figured out that he meant a speed controller. He insisted that everyone calls them that online. I've been flying a few years now and have never heard it that anywhere. He went on and on about how on YouTube and Facebook people say it all the time and, of course, how he was a very skilled pilot who is knowledgeable in all things RC .
