Just some photos of the FW Avanti Conversion with the HAB kit and Xicoy X45.

The changes they made

Starting with the new ecu......

- GSU connects via a servo cable, no longer the large dateline cable used on all the dinosaur systems.
- Smaller, lighter, much more processing power.
- Due to more processing power, lower idle RPM, faster accel/decel is capable due to higher RPM accuracy.
- Single cable from ECU to engine (seperate valve and pump cables).
- More adjustable parameters including preset accel/decel curves all custom to every engine built for maximum performance.

Now the engine........

- Starting with a brand new Billet CNC compressor adding more power and efficiency. Thrust=3.8kg! With a weight penalty of <5grams.
- Single cable braided into a special connector used for the new ECU.
- Redesigned combustion chamber, exhaust/thrust nozzle, center cone, stronger welds.
- Micro JST added to starter motor wires from factory to aid in removing and installing fod screen.

Last time I wanted to fly rotary winged toys they had huge flybars stretched across the top. But because I have felt the itch for them and the new SAB Kraken is calling my name..... I will get back into them with another new lil bird, Hello BL2

The Twins have arrived now just to see what they will fly in the up coming months. I am impressed before I even got them out of the box

Dident think moving from dx18qq to an ix12 was going to be a big upgrade. Turned out to be a HUGE upgrade! After a month of owning my IX12 and teaching myself new tricks, I can say I love it! Current Features galore, confidence I cant be left out of new features when they are developed and the "radio in hands" relationship is just as good. Thanks Spektrum!

Flying the snot out of my HSD Superviper with K60G. For anyone looking for any details on it let me know, its a great flying airplane I am happy with it down to every last penny spent!

After the main install of the turbine and exhaust pipe. The built was straight forward. I upgraded the AIL and EleV servos with the flaps and rudder servos will be upgraded too in the near future. Installed all the fuel system, electrical, and radio systems.

Getting there, designed motor mounts that could use the built in edf mounts.

My newest completed build. Has been test flown and it performed great. Will post pics next time I go fly it. I was torn between building one small jet with either a wren 44 or a k45, or building a big jet like 80n+. I decided to build small p20 and medium size k60. Here is the small project. Pictures show project from start to finish. Took about 2 weeks of custom building on the airframe of the stinger 90. Most time went into building engine mount and cutting of foam and wood parts to allow install of components without jeapordizing the structural strength. My goal was to have smoke on board this jet orginally. But decided the system was to heavy for the performance I was looking to attain. Ill be saving the smoke for the new HSD Superviper when I get around to buying it All the bells and whistles! Installed telementry, backup flight battery, tamjets UAT and antistatic tubing, and went abit over board with the receiver but as insurance, the P20SX isnt cheap!...Continue Reading
