This all looks good except I made one mistake. I forgot to shove a piece of foam in there to act as an epoxy dam. The five minute epoxy that I used to tack the pin was pretty thick so I don't think it matters here. It's going to be a different story when it's time to fill the joint with 30 minute epoxy. Fortunately I can ram the foam in from the other side of the spar.

I finally got the flaps and ailerons properly shaped. Getting them to follow the contour of the wing required quite a bit of sanding. I'll probably get the parts back out on the table to for another look just to make sure I'm happy with how they fit.

Well I managed to get the wing mounted. It was pretty challenging, especially without a drill press. The key was to measure and remeasure, then carefully mark, and finally drill starting with a 3/32" bit and slowly work up to the final drill size. I deviated from the plan slightly by moving the rear mounting point back. This should give better access to the electronics and allow a little more flexibility in their placement....Continue Reading
