Completed another winter build. VQ F6f Hellcat.
Eflite Power 46 motor, Eflite 60amp ESC, VQ retracts, Dynam 13x7 three blade prop, gear strut covers and gear doors. Decals by Callie.
Even though the markings replicate LTJG Alexander Vraciu's #19, I have the "Duke" at the controls. Thought he would be a fitting pilot since he flew Hellcats in the movie "Flying Leathernecks". I will be using a 5 cell 5000 lipo. The weather is finally warming up here in the Chicago area. I just need the field to dry out for a maiden.

I purchased this VQ P-40 Warhawk ARF a few years ago and finally got around to building it. Powered by a Dualsky XM5050EA-8 and a Dualsky 80amp ESC. Electric retracts from FMS. The pilot was scanned from a gear shift knob and 3D printed by a club member. Decals from Callie Graphics. I will be going with a 5 cell setup for the maiden based on the info from Jerry Festa’s review and build in 2016 here on rcgroups. I just need some good weather for a maiden! Found this BH Tornado ARF on line. Thought it looked very similar to the old MidWest Strikemaster Kit.
Recovered it and added some missels. I also installed an eflite bomb drop release below for fun fly events. Powered by a OS 46FX. Decals from Cali Graphics.

I have not flown the Flyzone F4U Corsair for a few years. The poor original paint job always bothered me and found the decals started to peel. Repainted it and a fresh set of decals from CaliGraphics, breathed some new life into her.

Installed a MrRCSound system in my Shangrila. I originally tried to install the speakers in the battery compartment, but it was just too tight to get the battery tray to slide in and out. I decided to go the route that "Shung" posted (#4557).
Color matched the paint at Home Depot.
.....now if I can only figure out how to sync the motor to the sound card. Its been a frustrating ordeal.

Finished the build. It was nice and simple. I hated the large fuel tanks on the outer wings supplied in the kit. I had some 1/18 scale bombs and racks from a static P-51. I added them for a more realistic look that the SBD had. When I purchased mine, I made sure I ordered a spare canopy. I didn't go crazy with repainting the entire cockpit. I painted a few noticeable areas where the canopy was open and exposed.

Since I was a kid, I had this fascination with the exploits of Manfred von Richthofen. It must have started when my father took me to the movies when the movie "Von Richthofen and Brown " came out in 1971.
Anyway, I bought this ARF about a year and a half ago. When Parkzone and Hangar 9 announced they were coming out with Albatros planes, I got the bug and started this build. Its not a exact replica of the Baron's plane, but its close enough for me.
