I snapped these pics at the EAA Pancake breakfast held twice a year at the Jerry Tyler Memorial Airport in Niles, MI. Nice morning for flying and there was a good turn out from pilots that flew in to spectators in the area hungry for $6 ALL U CAN EAT Pancake and Sausage Breakfast! I will have a couple videos up later of the V-12 powered 7/8 scale Thunder Mustang that made another appearance in Niles...

I stopped into Wright Patterson Air Force Base Museum for a extended lunch break from driving my rig in late May 2011. I drive past it twice a week and have visited many times here since my first time at age 14. This place is very special to me and is FREE to the public 364 days a year. If you love aviation this is a must see if you are ever in the area. From the Wright Flyer replica to the B-2, it is here!

Enjoy the pics!...Continue Reading

Dave White flew this 7/8 scale P-51 Mustang into the Jerry Tyler Memorial Airport in Niles, MI this evening to show it off to the members of the EAA Chapter 865.

We were flying models when we heard a roar out of the southwest coming towards the airport. Our spotter announced it being a P-51 at full throttle heading directly towards the airport at tree-top level. We quickly landed our planes to watch this thing as it made several passes then a landing. I went over to the airport because I was curious about the paint job it had on it and here is what I saw.

I was surprised to see that it was made of composite material and it was being pulled along by a 640HP V-12 engine. I took these pics and I will have a couple of videos of it running here soon! Enjoy~

I bought this Mustang Saleen a while back and had not driven it because I did not have a extra pistol grip TX for it. I was planning on giving it to my kid but thought it may be to quick for him. I got bored after running it four or 5 times yesterday using my JR9503 transmitter and a AR6100e airplane receiver. The car is brushed stock and has a brake so the throttle was on my left stick and the steering on the right. It would do about 25mph and was alright but I like to go fast...

So me and my buddy Brent decided to stick a EDF airplane outrunner into it along with a 45A Electrifly esc and run them on a 2650 3S lipo. It was the whip this horse needed! It goes 75 now and my goal is to break 100 MPH using 4S and gearing it a little more if the belts hold up!!! I am getting 20 or more minutes on a battery and the acceleration is unreal! The motor, esc and battery are barely warm after each run.

This mod took about 2 hours to complete and the car is lighter and I also made a custom aluminum front bumper for it. The first four pics are of the car before the upgrades! One more note is that since I used a airplane esc there is NO BRAKES!

Here are a couple videos!
