I have always liked Vintage models and my friend Bruce talked me into building the Playboy. It was built true to plan so that I could fly it as a contest model at a later date. Some 2 years later it flew in its first contest and it has entered many more since, the Playboy has turned out to be a very successful model having many good finishes.

Just to prove that I also build big models this is my kema-s, it was built about 16 years ago and can be either a 100" or 144" span depending on which wingtips are used. The designer is Keith Humber.

This is my tribute to Earl Stahl. I built the Stahl Taylorcraft for the experince of doing a ff scale rubber powered model the traditional way,I tried to do everything as it was done in the 1940s, carved wooden prop(well laminated then sanded it) with a freewheel mechanism,turned wooden wheels,the u/c was bound with thread and glued to the fuse and were U/C wire met U/C wire bound with fuse wire and soldered, its covered with jap tissue and all the decals are made from tissue and doped on. I never flew it, gave it to friend who collects vintage models.

The Pixie was built to use the GWS gear that was easily available at the time it used a LPS- BC2 power system, 2 pico servos and there 2amp esc.the Rx is there smallest 4 channel and the battery is a 2 cell lipo. The reason for building the Pixie was to experiment with an under cambered wing as i was finding the flat bottom wing a little fast indoors. I was very happy with the outcome,found it better inside and it was still able to be flown outdoors. While all this gear is now outdated the Pixie still flies very well. Oh almost forgot its span is 27" weighs 80gm and is covered with jap tissue.

This is my profile Guided Mite (now retired) It was my attempt to build the lightest indoor RC that i could. The span is 14" and it weighs 20gm the rx is by JMP and it has a built in esc, the actuators weigh 1g each and i wound them myself, the battery is a 1s 90 mah LiPo. Its powered by a geared brushed pager motor. It was built about 10 years ago and hasn't flown in some time.

this one is my thistle it weighs 2 oz and is powered be 2 x 50mah batteries, its an indoor/outdoor ff model, It can fly for 2 to 3 minutes and all the kids in the street have flown and crashed it at some time.

this is my push-e, it weighs 1 oz and can fly for over 4 minutes with a 50 mah battery its for indoor ff, it's such a light airframe the jap tissue couldn't be water shrunk because it would distort the wings
