Here is a TopFire 6 Channel Radio I am going to gift someone and a little info about it.
(Plus some bonus information...)

Also a link to the free Multiplex Multiflight Simulator software - Limited but really good - (you can also buy the full version)
The TopFire Tx has a 3.5 mono port on the side which can be used for most Simulators

- So, a couple of informative videos from the U toob
(also a picture of a setup you could use for say a Cheap-n-Easy or similar - any plane really)

1st Vid is about Binding the TopFire with some good safety tips and stuff

2nd Vid is good information on using cheaper Tx's for a Simulator

And ... thirdly that Multiflight Link.

Been using some Laminate for covering and adding strength to foam wings.

I was able to get a roll of laminate from a fellow member Berkie.

I first came across the laminate with the Assassin wing everyone was getting in to at the Club. I used a normal household iron rather than going out to get a hobby iron. I bought it at the Supermarket for $16. Can't complain.

Built the Assassin with the included laminate which is a bit thicker than the lot I got from Berkie but that works just as well and helped to revive my Tek Sumo wing which had been lost in the bushland near the club (orientation and bad eyesight) for over 4 weeks. It has sat at home for over a year but the laminate on the Assassin gave me the idea to refurbish it ... Some Pics below of the Assassin and the Tek Sumo with the cheap iron ... also how messy I get when I am building or in this case resurrecting!!

Building the AXN Clouds Fly on Holiday

AXN Clouds Fly (Floater Jet) Build tips

SWMBO and I went down the Victorian Coast for a holiday and stayed at a nice little holiday apartment during the off season. I hate TV so I took a plane to build at night (and maybe fly but the weather thought different). The AXN is an easy build and many have written excellent build logs and how to's.

I wont even attempt to do as well as some but here are a few tips that I have for the AXN newbie. They just might be helpful when you come to build your first AXN.

I just referred to this old blog post in a forum and thought I would add my videos on glide testing your finished plane and on setting up a DX6i for flaperons....
