Hello..

This is Giant Coaxial Thrust Stand, designed for Extra Large Motors and Propellers,
Specs:
- Single motor test,
- Coaxial motor test,
- Motor diameter up to 90mm,
- Top (left) propellers up to 32",
- Bottom (right) propellers up to 30",

I designed this Giant Rig for a friend, Joshua Carr from BuzzDrones, I will make a smaller version (up to 22" props) for myself later..

Safety is my priority, since this involved Dual Giant Propellers (bigger than my bicycle wheels) spinning at high RPM.
Total thrust (depend on motors and props combination) can exceed 15kg.
Initial design using a 20kg load cell on the top of aluminum stand, but I'm worry about the load cell strength,
if the load cell snaps, nothing can stop the giant propellers from flying around. I don't wanna see a funeral of my friend.
So I change the design, I need to make it strong and safe.

Materials:
- 1.27x1.27mm square aluminum tubes (470mm 4pcs, 380mm 4pcs)
- 3.2mm MDF,
- 4.2mm MDF
- 3.4mm Plywood,
- 3.0mm Acrylic
- 10mm shaft (100mm long)
- 10x22x6mm bearing (4pcs)
- 10x35x11mm bearing (2pcs)
- 60mm M3 screws (18pcs)
- 50mm M3 screws (6pcs)
- 20mm M3 screws (8pcs)
- 15mm M3 screws (12)
- 20mm M4 screws (2pcs)
- Wood glue, CA glue.
- Black, clear lacquer, & clear doff paint.

Electronics:
- 50kg scale,
- 130A Watt meter,
- Servo tester with PWM display,
- Dual temperatur sensor with 2x 1m probes,
- Servo cable extension,
- Momentary switch,
-...Continue Reading

Hello..

Quick video how to setup BLHeli-32 ESC with Arduino Uno R3.
I need this because I cannot use pass-through function with my old F1 boards, also my ESC programmer cards not compatible with BLHeli-32 ESC.
I have some low kv motors, so I need to Turn-Off Low RPM Power Protection, and Increase Rampup Power a little bit.

BLHeli-32 ESC setup with Arduino UNO R3 - ( Racerstar Tatto 35A ) (2 min 43 sec)

What you need:
- BLHeli Suite 32 Configurator, http://www.blheli32.com/
- Arduino Uno R3,
- USB Cable,
- 2.54mm Male Pin Header. or 2x Male to Male Jumper Cable,
- BLHeli32 ESC (i'm using Racerstar Tattoo 35A) https://www.banggood.com/4X-Racersta...r_warehouse=CN

Step by step:

Make an Interface:
- Open BLHeli Suite 32 configurator,
- Connect Arduino Uno to computer,
- Select appropriate Port,
- Click on Make Interface,
- Choose board (Arduino w/ ATmega328),
- Click on Arduino 4-way interface, OK,
- Select hex file (4wArduino_m328P_16_MULTIv20002.hex), OPEN, YES,
- Wait until the file loaded to the Arduino board, OK

Connecting ESC to Arduino:
- Disconnect Arduino Uno from computer,
- Connect ESC GND to GND,
- Connect ESC Signal to D11 (you can connect 8x ESC to D11, D10, D9, D8, A2, A3, A4, A5)

Setup your ESC:
- Reconnect Arduino to computer,
- Power ESC with Lipo Battery,
- Select appropriate Port,
- Select BLHeli32 Interface (BLHeli 32 Bootloader (4way-if)),
- Connect
- Wait until ESC number appeared on the little boxes,
- Check,
- Read Setup,
- Now you can set your ESC as you need,
- Don't forget to Write Setup,
- Disconnect,
- Done!

Hello.. Another motor test, Angel A2212 - 980kv.

I believe this is Sunnysky Angel Clone, purchased from Ebay several months ago,
- came without box, just inside plastic bag.
- unfinished motor mount, (see pictures)
- faint letters,
- no sunnysky logo on the cables.
- different cable colors, black-red-yellow instead of black-red-blue.

Angel A2212 980kv brushless motor thrust test 1045 3S (Sunnysky Clone) (3 min 21 sec)

Testing equipment:
- Motor: Angel A2212 - 980kv

Hello, this is my 2nd test.

Loong test... to make it close to the real flight situation..

Bernoulli 3515 500kv - 2nd Test 6S with 1248 & 1447 (16 min 51 sec)

Now lets see the motor first:

Came with built in 20A ESC (35A burst) and bright LED light.
Inside the box we can find:
- Manual
- Direct mount propeller adapter and screws.
- Standard mount propeller adapter (CW thread) and screws + M6 Lock nut.
- 50cm Power Wires with XT-30 plug.
- 75cm Signal Wires (optional length),
- Motor mount screws.

Motor designed to withstand extreme condition, so we don't need to worry about wet condition since the ESC already coated
- Motor = 167g (ESC and LED included)
- Power Wires 16AWG 50cm + Signal Wires 75cm = 28g
- Standard prop mount with 4 M3 screws = 12g
- Size: Ø42mm x 48mm

Built in ESC:
- No need for settings, just plug and play! this is good! => Simple to build, neat result,
- 20A (35A max burst) 4-6S rated ESC's should be enough for most application,
- ESC far away from sensitive equipment, especially compass,
- No ESC replacement, Marc from Inspired Flight guaranteed for Whole Motor Replacement if something going wrong with the motor.

How to set the LED (Video on my 1st test https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...nd-Led-Light):
- Press 0.5 second to change light color (default Green), => Green-Yellow-Blue-Magenta-Cyan-White-Off-Red-Green
- Press 5 second to change light pattern (default Solid),

How to set motor direction (Video on my 1st test):
- Switch...Continue Reading

Hello, this is my test and review about new Bernoulli 3515 motor from Inspired Flight.

Bernoulli 3515 500kv Integrated Motor Built in ESC & LED light - Thrust Test and Settings (12 min 36 sec)

First impressions:
- Really nice build quality.
- Super smooth bearings.
- Bright LED,
- A lot of accessories,

I need to know about the motor in real flight situation, not only the max thrust in perfect lab situation.
So my test using partially charged old batteries and 1447 carbon fiber props.
I think this represents a motor performance: in the middle to the end of the flight.

Test result with 6S batt + 1447 props:

- 770g (40%, 4.19A)
- 890g (45%, 5,36A)
- 990g (50%, 6,16A)
- 1090g (55%, 7,25A)
- 1220g (60%, 8,72A)

Its safe to say 900-1100g = recommended weight per motor. (1200g should be no problem in calm day situation)

Based on 8 minutes test, temperature never reach 47°C, so motor capable to use bigger props if more thrust needed.
Unfortunately I don't have 15" and 16" props. I just have 12", 14" and 17" to test with the motor.
I will post my test with 12" + 6S later (maybe 17" with lower batt setup)

Motor: https://www.inspiredflight.com/produ...t=991685148678

Mfr specs:

Motor Size: 3515
RPM per Volt: 500 kV

Weight: 167g
Input Voltage Range: 10V - 25.5V
Recommended Battery: 4s - 6s LiPo (14.8v - 22.2v
