It’s been months since we had a strong blow. Saturday did not disappoint. One of our new members clocked 31 mph on his wind meter. The wind was out of the NE and was almost dead on to the NE Bowl. Sorry no blog in a long time. Between a couple weekends of rain and our Ocala FSS contest I haven't been up on the "hill" untill this weekend.
In the meantime we had a great contest in Ocala, see RCgroups thread:

Also some of our guys (Jamie and Mike) hit the World Soaring Masters, see thread:

In the meantime, this weekend was not fanatastic. As Paul M said, "I would rate Saturday a 3 out of 10". We had about 7mph breeze out of the East. Which put about 1/2 dozen guys on the East slope.
I spent my time with the other 1/2 dozen fliers on the winch. All the way over on the West side. We had a lot of problems with the retriever and the thermals were very small. Not good. No crashes though, and only a small mid-air accident. So I guess it wasn't a bad Saturday.
Next weekend, I won't be up (work has called me in), so I hope someone gets some pictures and I hope some better flying conditions.
