Howdy people

yes yes.. inexpensive / cheap etc.. it's all relative ofcourse in today's FPV arena however "cheap" isn't the trend :P
This Rotorama setup did strike me as "nice for a fair price" and I'm glad to say:

it DID turn out to be good fun

Hi there RC people,

today's video is a short how-to for the setup process of FPV drones. When building a drone / quadcopter you will at some point have to at least Check, and possible change, the motor-Direction of your drone.

AND this process has become a lot easier with Betaflight 4.3 so this video is partly to show you What has changed, and how easy it now is

Howdy rc people

in case you follow my channel you will know I like building quads.. Now and again I do an in-depth instructional video about (part of) these builds!

This time a LONG video on me installing a RushFPV Blade 4-in-1 ESC in a drone build.. If you are fairly new to building FPV quads this will help you out

Hi there people

in todays video I review some Big motors from iFlight This video is part of a build-series for a Cinemtatic 7" quad.. But these motors are actually used by iFlight on a 7.5" quad: their Chimera 7 Pro (long range quad)

Sooooo what are these motors like on a slightly smaller platform?? Also: how do they compare to a typical 7" motor (a 2806.5 that is) ????

Let's see!

Howdy people,

sooo yeah what the title says I guess! I recently bought the Axis Flying Thor ELRS transitter module which I plan to use in my TBS Mambo radio...
I am (was) competely new to ELRS so I had some figuring out to do..

I decided to make a video about the steps I took to get things working.. In case you were wondering how to get started with ELRS or if you are on the fence, thinking it might be to complicated?

Hi there RC people

so in case you didn't know: every now and again I publish a longer video-series about a build project.. Can be drones or planes though in the last years it has mostly been FPV drones / quads
And this is another one of those.. I have been focussing on higher-speed video quads for a while now, and that means (for me at least) heavier 7" quads, so that is what I am going to be building in this series

The objective then is to build a quad that is smooth at higher speeds and easy to have it follow a straight line.. In general that is harder to do with a 5" for instance..
And in this series I will showe the installation of the key-parts + tell you why I picked the parts I picked..

The kickoff for this project is (again) the frame review.. Not really a "part 1" as it is an older frame, but I think it's fair to at least show what the base of this project is going to be

The BangGOD 7" Cinematic Cruiser by Catalyst Machineworks! - FRAME REVIEW (14 min 33 sec)

The other parts I'll be using:

Motors - iFlight Xing2 2809 1250 KV
ESC - Rush BLADE 60A Extreme 128K 30x30
FC - Rush BLADE F722 Digital 30x30
Cam + VTX - Caddx / DJI Vista
FPV Antenna - Rush Cherry LHCP Extended
Receiver - TBS Crossfire RX Nano
Props - HQprop 7x4x3
Lipo - CNHL Ministar 1800mah 120C 6S

Hi there RC people

so I am very much late to the show on this one That tends to happen when you order things yourself as a reviewer...
As I have the Light version of the CMW Shocker (and like it quite a bit) I had to try the Tank version of that frame as well!

The frame: https://www.fpv-fly.fr/frame-the-sho...neworks-2.html

Yeah.. that's a European (France) shop.. If you are in the States or other regions ordering it from their own shop would probably work out best (?)

And here are my impressions on the Tank frame

Howdy people

recently I picked this new Roma F7 up at the Diatone website... I was kinda wondering why there aren't a lot of video's on that new drone?
And also: I though it would be nice to set up a good tune for it...

Link to the quad: https://www.diatone.us/collections/n...-pnp-bnf-drone

Digital version: https://www.diatone.us/collections/r...r-tbs-receiver

Soooo.. the most unusual thing about this quad is it's motor-size: 2808.. that is rather big?
A more common motor-size for 7" quads is 2806 (2808 is 33% bigger)..

I'll be publishing several video's on the quad... Here are my first impression of it:

Diatone Roma F7! What kind of quad is this actually?? SHOW & TELL (18 min 48 sec)

Howdy people

sooooo yeah the TRX4 is very much NOT a new product and even the Bronco 2021 isn't super-duper new anymore :P
it IS new to me though! And the black color-scheme IS new..

Impressive RC car regardless IMHO so I do want to at least blog my findings..
Should be informative to You if you are new to the car or are considering it....

I just got the car in Yesterday so let's have a first look at it!

Howdy RC people

so this will be a bit of a different thread here.. No review this time! With this thread I hope to start a RC racing class..
You've seen the title of the thread.. That kind of racing is my intend and in case you aren't familiar with SST's:

2021 Darwin Race 1 - Stadium SUPER Trucks (18 min 42 sec)

To me this is a very entertaining & spectacular racing class! Hard to re-create it in RC maybe but that's no reason not to try :P
So what do we see with SST's?

+ it's a spec-race.. all cars are mostly the same..
+ onroad with a few ramps (+/- 75% the height of the cars)
+ the cars are Horrible cars really.. a low-slung sedan would do much better BUT everyone has the same ordeal :P
+ 2WD and rolid rear axle.. in other words: difficult to drive
+ roaring engines

So I have been looking at different RC cars that could be a Base for a spec-class of cars that drive like that..
Some options in no particular order:
+ Kyosho Rampage (pro).. technically very very close
+ Traxxas Unlimted Desert racer (4x4 regretably and expensive)
+ Arma Mojave 1/7 (4x4 regretably and expensive)
+ Losi Super Baja Rey 2 1/6 (4x4 regretably and expensive)
+ Traxxas Slash 2WD

I should add that I am a fan of the Kyosho brand so I thought the Rampage Pro would be a Great option! After having watched some driving video's of them I am not so sure though.. Maybe I will test one for this purpose eventually.. What do YOU think???

To get things going I ordered me a SECOND HAND Traxxas Slash 2WD brushed..
For these reasons:
+ parts availability
+ running costs are low.. it's slow so won't brake as much
+ easy entry to get more people into it because it is reasonably Cheap
+ bought the 2nd hand one to illustrate you can get going cheap

Hi there RC people

I recently ran into a problem with my Flysky NB4 Noble (trigger) radio, but might just as well have run into this problem with the PL18 radio..
It wasn't hard to solve IF understand what the cause is (firmware version on radio very NEW)..

So I decided to make a quick video about this issue, and how to solve it!
Hope it helps some people out..

Halloa people

soooo are Cinewhoops quads still a thing in 2021 (or 2022 for that matter)??? Diatone seems to think so as they have a brand new version of their 3" Taycan
I must say I'm always a bit sceptical about quads like these as most people seem to (also) buy them for "fun flying".. And let's be honest: a cinewhoops does things well, but "fly" is not something they do exceptionally good :P

Which (for me) makes them all the more of a challenge to tune (that is a good thing :P)

I'll be doing a couple of video's on this new version.. First up is a first look + test flights.. Later on I'll be posting a review + tune for the quad

The Diatone Taycan C3 2022 version! Show & Tell & Test (23 min 47 sec)

Specifications:
type: Cinewhoop - Video drone
wheelbase: 158 mm

Howdy people,

soooo finally Runcam was allowed to make an official DJI-digital setup :P Took long enough! I guess Caddx rubbed DJI the wrong way in some way or another (?)

BUT! Is this Runcam Link thing good enough? What about value for $$$ ??

Well then. Let's see if it is any good...

a couple of weeks ago the new Light 3.5" quads showed up, and to be honest: from the specs I thought I would not like these at all :P To make a bit more interesting I decided to order Two so I could compare them!

What do you know? I like them more then I expected but they are also Very very similar :P

Hi there people,

so I was looking for "something" to make my radio's look a bit different.. Yes I guess I AM that vain :P
And I liked non of the vinal wrap for the TBS Mambo radio..
BUT I did also like the idea of adding some grip somehow..

Soooooo! Grip Tape? What is that? Does that maybe add comfort to holding your radio? Is it nice and squishy??

NOOOOO! :P It is actually more like sanding paper :P But it Does work! Ads a lot of grip..

Link to the stuff I used here: TweetFPV custom made Grip tape (in the USA)

Soooo here is a quick look at it:
