The ToolkitRC M8 / Hobbymate D6 Elite provides an all-in-one hobby electronic toolset and charger for your drone workbench or field.

Not only can you can use it as a 300w 15amp charger, it's a step-up power supply, a receiver tester, a battery resistence checker, and so much more. I bought it, and overall I'm happy with it.

Hello all i recently upgraded my DYS xdr220 with a HGLRC f4proV6 aio board. The old board was a dinosaur compared to whats on the market today. I didnt want to break the bank or buy something that had a bunch of features i was not going to use.
The HGLRC f4proV6 board is a aio(all in one) meaning it has current sensor, filtered cam/vtx for best possible picture clearness. The board is 6S capable and will except up too 200A, thats a big wow!! The board out of the package came with antenna connector or extension, buzzer, and a cap which needs to be soldered on. The board layout is very easy to follow as it has two ports for wiring in your Rx a no brainer, and lights and buzzer if you want lights, the buzzer is a must. The vtx is integrated into the board and all you need to do is solder your camera's wires to the board and your in business. Soldering the esc's to the board is also a no brainer and i like the fact that you can solder the negativer or ground wires together on the same pad, as there is a single pad for the signal wire. It only took me 15 minutes to solder all wires to the board as they were already in place from when i removed the main dys aio board that came with the 220. I had to drill a hole in the top back of the canopy for the antenna extension cable to be mounted and it came out clean. I needed about 8 small nylon stand offs to mount the board to the frame and also to raise the canopy a little as i wanted plenty of air to flow over the board. I need to...Continue Reading

I saw Richard Stubblefield in the CL Combat column in a recent issue of Model Aviation. He was a hero to me when I was in high school, when I was flying control line. I was never a competitor but I loved to go to the contests at Melrose park and watch him fly combat and people like George Aldrich fly stunt. I didn't really know about Melrose Park until I got my drivers license and could get around on my own. I knew about Ace Hobbies off Tidwell but when I was dependent on Dad, the instructions were (as we were invariably on our way to somewhere else) go in and get what I need quickly. When I could drive, I could hang out. When I was hanging out is when I learned about Melrose Park. This led to really successful control line flying.

My friends and I had been flying control line in backyards and the nearby elementary school parking lot for several years. I went through several Goldberg models, like Li'l Jumping Bean and Little Toot, with limited success. I got the basics down with a Cox PT-19 but I wanted a better experience. Hanging out at Ace Hobbies resulted in meeting some good control line flyers, who introduced me to Melrose Park as a place to fly the real thing. Inspired, I built a Sterling Ringmaster with, in a daring move against conventual wisdom, an OS 35 CL engine. There was some question about the OS instead of the traditional Fox but the running characteristics spoke volumes. I was plenty nervous when I first flew the Ringmaster at Melrose but I was surprised...Continue Reading

I love flying formation and mock dog fight under FPV. But without an effective aiming device, one just can not be sure how well he can stay on a bogie's tail. So I persuaded a master scale builder, Tim Noack, to build a 1:7.5 working reflector sight with collimating optics that focus at infinity and corrects for parallax.

The result is absolutely stunning...

Hello anybody/everybody! I’ve had this drone for a little over a year and it is my first. The first few flights went well but after a few months of not using it, I now have a problem. I can’t get a satellite lock. Remote shows 16, give or take, but “error” lights blink 2 short/1 long on the quad and motors run but it will not fly. With no manufacturers support, I bought a new gps module online but still have the same problem. Hobby shops in my area are few and far between and won’t attempt to help me because they don’t sell this quadcopter. Can someone PLEASE help? I also have a Mavic Pro but I’d like to fly this one again. Thanks!
