Designed and tested my 3D printed mount to fit the Walkera gimbal to the front of the TBS Discovery. Fitted dampening balls to it and a top support to stop it bouncing.

Will happy with the results and a lot lighter and compact than the Tarot.

Wanted to replace my Tarot gimbal on my TBS Disco with a lighter and more compact Walkera G2D. To get to to fit properly I needed to reverse the mount so that the tilt arm is on the other side.

1- First unplug the controller and unthread the cables from the vertical support.

2- Remove the 2 screws from the vertical support.

3- Slacken the glub screw from the side of the vertical and turn the rear motor can to loosen and shaft.

4- Now remount the vertical 180 degrees in reverse.

5- The gimbal won't work with the camera support now upside down. So to do this you need to rotate the sensor on the back 180 degrees. undo the sensor back, lift the sensor and carefully twist the cable..

6- Now the sensor cover won't fit correctly without modifying with a file. First I insulated the sensor contacts and secured the original cover with 2 screws, works fine but looks messy. Ive now printed a cover that fits correctly.

7- rethread the cables, connect it all up then it works fine

Inspired by Star Wars Return of the Jedi I did some low level FPV forest flying with my discovery. Harder than it looks to do as you cant see the branches with the light coming through the trees. Loads of fun and boy did it take some hammer, all without a scratch
