Time for some more comparison videos! This time it will be a series on 60 size 2 stroke engines. It seems the 60/61 two stroke engine is becoming more and more like the DoDo. Very few companies are making glow engines in the 60/61 size range anymore. OS only makes the 55AX and 65AX. Who knows if Enya really makes them anymore; I do see a 61 CXR listed but I have never seen one advertised. ASP/Magnum still make the 61A, but really that is about it.

So in the last few weeks I have been selling some engines to make room for a few 60/61 size ones. Granted many of the engines I have on hand now are somewhat dated, but they are representative of a finer time in the hobby. Here is the list in no particular order:

OS 61 FSR Special Edition
Irvine 61 MkII ABC
Mutunuc 61 Millennium Pro
Magnum XL61A
HB 61
HP 61 Gold Cup
OS 60 FP
K&B 61 ringed
Enya 60XF-III

These engines will be run and tuned prior to the actual run comparison videos. In the comparison each engine will be run with a 12x6 APC prop and Omega FAI fuel. Glow plugs will not be a constant. Each comparison video will consist of three randomly selected engines and they will be evaluated on max RPM, idle, and transition. A poll will be on each video so viewers/subscribers can vote on the favorite engine of each series. At the conclusion of round 1 the three engines with the most favorite votes will then go head to head. Votes can be based on ANYTHING the viewers like, not just the max RPM, etc. Sort of just a popularity vote and not necessarily a performance one.

Here is the first video in the series.
