After the less than stellar experince with the BG blue alloy shocks - i decided to return to the CPV quality shocks, this time around i went for the remote reservoir rear shocks, they come with three pairs of springs for fine tuning.

Fit up was straight forward, the lower bush was a fraction wide, i had some hps 5.7mm ball ends that fitted straight in, job done. Went with 900cst silicone oil, tad heavy i think.

not as large as the HobbyKing Vandal alloy shock (they are huge) as per my other FY03, decided to go 10mm shorter - 85mm, shock has the same shaft travel due to the remote reservior, ride height is nicely lowered.

The heaviest springs are definitely firm enough based on the calibrated finger squeeze test !
