I saw someone recently ask the question, what parts are needed to convert an SCT410.3 into a MT410 and for how much?

Having an SCT410.1 myself, I have been tinkering with the idea of doing the conversion as well, so let's take a look and see what it will take. Bush league to assemble , glue !
Foam is soft and can warp when gluing in the spars , put it down on a flat surface .

As pictured = Foam bits glued together / no hardware !

Weight is right on the nose of 60 grams .

So the plan still remains to make this FPV ..

Motor will be the 1306 ( This one )

240 + grams of thrust on a 5x3 is plenty overkill . ( 2s )

CG is slightly rearward as is at the moment .. I will wait for the glue to dry and then try locating the CG with some weights before I start bolting on hardware .

Wind again from the right direction
forecast called for 15/16 mph and ramping down
When I got to the top at 2:30 I found steady 28 with pulsing sustained gust in the mid 30's
If I had know I would have brought heavier ships..
I flew my 30"12 oz Sizzle for 45 minutes - a amazing little wing ! see { }
I had snow squalls blowing over that limited visibility ,really had to concentrate to keep it in site and not get blown over the back
Next I put my Parkzone Ka -8 up , the wind had subsided to the mid to high 20's most of the time ,blasted around with it for the next 45 or so minutes
When it started to get dark I landed and headed home - a Great way to end the day

UPDATING to 2.3.3RC1
Firmware updating to 2.3.3 RC1 and latest MPM
1. go to OpenTX at
2. download, save and install companion 2.3.3RC1 .
3. when you run companion, connect your T16 in bootloader mode (L&R trims IN while pressing power) check or install radio profile and settings, tab2. Application.., release candidate stable. Tab1. TYPE Jumper T16, AETR is recommended for default ***, mode ? (2 for me), select internal and lua and Flex for me.
4. select download and “check for updates”. Download the bin file then change name to RC1... Also download the latest SD card contents. (USE the latest zip file, not the words OPENTX T16.)
5. Extract all (I used DOWNLOAD folder), open the SD card folder, open sounds and delete all but native language “ENglish” for me and back out to directories.
6. Open drive letter for t16 SD that shows all the folders starting with FIRMWARE, (mine is E:, put them side by side and drag and drop from SD folder to E: with overwrite all. This will keep your models but ONLY if you had nightlies and not Jumper TX models.
7. Drag and drop the RC1.....bin file from DOWNLOADS (step 4) into FIRMWARE folder of E: GO TO step 11 if you’re not updating MPM or you don’t have the latest MPM bootloader.
