We are making available for immediate ordering our larger (30" wingspan) interpretation of the Leadfeather 3D Delta including a KF4 airfoil (theory) which not only gives the plane great flight characteristics, it also strengthens the wing significantly. We have increased the fuselage thickness to 15mm EPP to strength it. The KF4 airfoil (image) complicates the wing building over and above a typical flat foamie. (but the end results are well worth it)

Also, you should be aware that the build uses more than 2oz of Foam-Tac to complete.

Check out the associated flight videos on our 3D Delta XL playlist as well as the full instructions online

The popularity of the 32" Leadfeather Yak55 is undeniable. The one comment I have regularly heard over the years is, "I wish you sold a bigger version". Well, we listened and have created a 40" 125% version of the plane that satisfies those desires. In doing so we went with a KF4 airfoil (theory) which not only gives the plane great flight characteristics, it also strengthens the wing significantly. We have increased the fuselage thickness to 15mm EPP to strength it and even the tail stiffeners have been increased to 6mm EPP giving the tail great structural support. Be aware, these features have complicated the build (This is not a novice build) and we strongly recommend reading the instructions and following the steps as they are laid out. The sequencing allows previous steps to dry while performing other steps. The KF4 airfoil (image) complicates the wing building over and above a typical flat foamie. (but the end results are well worth it)
Also, you should be aware that the build uses most of 4oz of Foam-Tac to complete.

Introduced at Toledo this year, our 32" EPP Extra is now shipping

This is the next step in your aerobatic training. Working with Alan Mostek we created the follow on to our popular EPP Yak55 that will help you take your flying skills to the next level. Make no mistake that this plane will dial down so it can be flown sedately but it can be grown into and you can dial it up to 11 when you are ready. It is a bit more aggressive and agile than our Yak55 but sometimes that is what you need for the more hardcore maneuvers. Check out the 6 minute video of Alan flying it on our website

Here is the page for the RA Cores 32" EPP Extra

We will be on vendor row at Joe Nall and have a bunch of bind-n-fly Extras and Yak55s with us. Email us to reserve yours as we were sold out by wednesday last year

There will be a new foamie released by RA Cores at the Toledo show this year. It's our interpretation of an Extra which we had FastAlJr Mostek help tune for us. It's not on the website yet (release is April 6th at the Toledo Show) but here is a YouTube video of it flying 3/18/2018 in the Dome at Watervliet NY. Pricing will be the same as our Yak55 kit and it uses the same completer. Reports are it is more agile than the Yak55 so it's a good next step in your aerobatic development. Color combinations available will be Green/Purple as in the video, Orange/Medium Blue and Red/(White)/Dark Blue

Tim has done a nice review of our BluFO-XL kit and completer for RCGroups. Tim got a sneak peak of it at Joe Nall this year when we introduced it and got a chance to have the full experience of the build. Watch the thread for more as Tim has night flying lighting ideas as well as FPV plans over the next few months.

This version shrinks the popular Yak55 to a 67% size that allows it to be used in a smaller indoor venue while retaining all the great Leadfeather Yak55 qualities. With the power system we sell the weight comes in under 90g and using 180mah 2S batteries you get a great flying plane for small gymnasiums for the winter that is fully capable of flying outdoors in the better weather. We have also shrunken our standard paint scheme and they are available in the same rainbow of colors popular with our standard 32" Yak55s. You can order it here.

The completer package currently includes:
  • C1822 Micro brushless Outrunner 2100kv (14g)
  • TURNIGY Plush 6A /.8bec/6g Speed Controller
  • New Power 5g Servo (qty 1 - Aileron)
  • New Power 3.7g Servo (qty 2 - Rudder & Elevator)
(these components used standard JR/Fut compatible connectors)

Due to the situation with Depron, this kit has been discontinued

Joel "MetroGTI" Dirnberger has tinkered with the BluFO platform yet again by doing up a version with twin motors. In doing so he has addressed several challenges and gone with a more traditional tractor design. Because he kept the main footprint the same and just extended the dorsal fins forward for motor pods, a higher KV motor was required to turn smaller diameter props for clearance. Another added benefit to the two motors is the ability to use differential thrust to give good yaw control. This kit is now shipping in both plain and vinyl graphics versions with a completer pack available shortly.

Joe Nall was awesome. I pretty much sold out of everything I brought. I have restocked and am all set for a couple of small local events in June.

June 6th and 7th I will be at the Ellis Grumer Electric Fly and EDF Meet in Easton PA. Check it out in this thread

The weekend of June 20th I will be at the Warwick NY Fun Fly. This is a great event because it combines a Fun Fly with a Float Fly area so you can have the best of both worlds as well as awesome night flying. Check it out in this thread

Thank you for everyone that stopped by the Toledo booth to say hi and especially Jim T for more nice pictures. We will have a booth at Joe Nall and be there then entire week. We are also Glacier battery dealers now and so if there are any particular sizes you would be interested in getting, let me know prior to 4/25 and I will bring them to the show. I will have batteries for the RTF Yak55s and BluFOs I will have in the booth again this year. If there are any of our products (or specific colors) you want to be sure to get, drop me a message and I will set them aside for you

Steven McCormack just maidened his BluFO he got at WRAM (the snow is finally melted) and will be flying it down on the 3D line so check it out. Flying 5' off the deck on the maiden sure speaks to the stability. I can't wait to see what he does when he gets comfortable!
