Absolutely love Subsonic motors, Ken is awesome, But had to deal with a crazy motor mount. For some reason the mount has counter sunk holes on the backside. Solution...make stand offs that have a three mil counter sunk threaded hole that fits the mount. Problem solved. The motor is a 3615 1350 Kv. spins a 10X6 gas prop with 110 Mph prop speed. Going in the Sig Kobra I'm building. Should go.

I needed a flight battery for a 2-meter fling wing project, So I dropped by the local hobby shop and much to my surprise...I found they had little two cell 360mAh 7.4Volt lithium-ion packs on sale for .99 cents. I asked "why so cheap" they said that some Helion boat was discontinued and the extra batteries were no longer needed. So I picked up all eight of them. Much to my surprise when I pulled them apart the cells have negative and positive are on the same end of the cell with a very convenient circuit board on the end. This will make it super easy to rewire and even parallel packs togher. Super cool...

I've smeared a few planes in my time flying models, But this is the craziest one yet. Astro Flight 020 4 turn in a converted sloper. A 26' P-51 Dago racer. I hit a metal picnic table awning at well over 150+ Funny thing is...That's the motor after the crash. Motor mount, Still glued in. Motor shaft, Not bent. Prop, Not broken. Spinner, Missing and the other half of the the screw is broken off in the prop nut. Speed controller, Missing also. Crazy right.

My new building broad project. I want to build a Sig Kobra, with E-Flight .10 size electric retracts. This is new landing gear wire I bent out of 1/8th stock. 4 loops for the nose and 3 loops for the mains. Notice...I even made a right and left for the mains. Good Start...

1968 Moore point to point CNC jig grinder running on Fanuc 16...This baby is in tip-top shape. When I was a lot younger I used to do 200 holes a day on a manual.

Some unfortunate news...RC Foam is going out of business, I guess if you can't get Depron any more you can't sell it. Fortunately for me I drove down and picked up a box of 9mm. So I built a mini bow and have a whipit. I wonder what kind of wing I can build with a whole box.

Picked up a Sig T-Clips the other day and have been working on it. It had a power 52 and a six cell battery, Which made it fly very fast and heavy. After making a little custom motor mount it now has the worlds largest CD-Rom motor, A Motofly 4315 714Kv motor and a four cell. The plane is now a pound ans a half lighter and has a 20 watt per pound more performance.

I'm so glad Horizon and Great Planes are one in the same, I can now do this too.
Like my Cub I'm now a proud owner of a 30cc Ultra Stick, And like the Cub...That's right it gets an O.S. GF40 four stroke gasser.
Unfortunately The GF40 is about 150 to 160 grams heavier than a Evolution GT33 . No big deal...A little lead in the tail fixes that right...No
The GT40 has the carburetor on the back of the engine and it extends the prop hub another inch and three quarters past the GT33 witch is a whole lot of nose weight.
Solution...I'll cut two inches off the nose of the fuselage...No big deal, But I really don't want to buy a roll of that ugly a$$ green Ultracote to fix it.

Does anyone know if the GF40 will run mounted sideways...

With Horizon and Great Planes joining hands, I thought it's time for my Carbon-Z Cub to do the same.
That's right...That's a Rimfire 80. in my cub...No more dead sticks from the piece of crap E-Flight BL-50 delamination of the magnets and having to glue them back in. Real horsepower.
17X8 Prop...We'll see if I can keep the tips off the ground.

Finally scored me an Umma Gawd 250. Picked it pretty cheap and cleaned it up with a white frame kit.

I'm on board with iSDT charging...T8 1000 watt, PD-100 6 amp discharger, Battery checkers and the new C4 charging A123 cells.
I know some have had problems with the T8, But mine has served me very well.

So...This time he wanted me to solder female servo leads into the board so he would have a brick of female connectors glued together.
I came up with this to save space, I think it came out very cool...He liked it too.
What do you think.

First time I put end pins in an AR6210 with a a carbon satellite. It will be going into a full carbon pylon racer. Be interesting to see if it works, He didn't want to spend the 80 on a 6270.

I've had such good results with the Axi motor . I don't have a tach, but 24.5 Amps 340 watts and 4s on a 15X9.5 Vita prop. The motor is rated to 300 watts.
I picked up a NIB Hyperion heli motor HS 2221-2580 and going to mount on the same gearbox. Motor rated at 400 watts and almost double the Kv at 780
