I have a corner in the spare bedroom... It's cramped, crowded, messy, small and uncomfortable... But miracles do happen and planes emerge. Post your build areas for everyone to see and drool over... Mudman1959

I recently purchased one of these Stabilization units for future use in my PBY. The unit looks well built but did not come with any directions on how to set it up. After several hours of playing with it and a few "look-up" sessions on the internet I think I have it finally figured out. With the price only being $18 that was very attractive to me. With it also having no moving parts and all digital was another positive! I now have it installed into my Rascal for testing and I have the settings just above 50% to start with. I was trying to figure out the "Remote" turn on function with no success until I found a video on YouTube and I had an "Epiphany"... I had forgot to turn on the switch on the unit to activate the "Remote On" function. I used my flap switch on my DX6i as the Rascal has no flaps. I like the ability to turn this on or off when I want to. As soon as the weather cooperates I plan on giving it a try. More thoughts and the results of the testing and If I'll trust it in my PBY.

Due to the Rascal having a fairly flat wing with little to no dihedral I decided to add ailerons to the wing. With just the Rudder for turning control and no dihedral the plane wanted to snap roll just a bit. I also added a bit of weight to the nose. Also buried deep inside is the Flight Stabilization unit I bought from HobbyKing. Waiting for better weather and less wind to give it it's first stabilized assisted flight.
